I banged on a lot about Barca's reason for buying him mid season was to stop us winning it. I thought we had a real chance with him, less so without him. As it stands I think we've now got a better chance without him

I think its clear, selling Phil mid season was not a bad call. It was infact, the correct call. It'll look like the greatest managerial call of all time when we win the thing.

You'd be disappointed if you built a side to go toe to toe with City with Andy Robertson as your fullback.

I'm not saying he's a bad player but it would smack of He'll do rather than is he the best option for that position

You read that thread though and to a certain degree they are right

The defending at times was a ****ing shambles, the attacking play was top quality though (especially ours first leg)

are they though? Maybe we have gone through the era that defence wins trophies and now its all about attacking

I also think that many teams that are praised for being defensively solid are a ****ing shambles going forward United & Burnley spring to mind.
