The lads looked knackered, and why wouldn’t they? Biggest game of their life’s on Wednesday, it must have been emotionally and physically exhausting. A week to prepare and rest for Brighton at home. Chelsea will have a scrap v Huddersfield who need the points midweek but even if they win, then it is still in our hands going into the last game.

The biggest frustration is that we were 10 points ahead of these cunts and were 2-0 up against West Brom and have managed to mess it up and now it's all down to the last game of the season which it shouldn't have been the case.

Yeah, I definitely put it down to our lack of numbers though. We have been playing every 3 to 4 days when the teams we have been playing have had only a game every week. We’ve been a bit unlucky to face teams battling to avoid relegation also.

I’m optimistic that a weeks break and a home game v Brighton will see us home, much as we had last season.

And then, we’ve got the Champions League Final. Who honestly thought this time last year that we would be going for the Trophy in what is most of the squads first attempt?

I’m not going to let today totally warp my perspective of what we have achieved this season.

Losing Ox in particular is a blow, he was also the best back up winger in the squad.

To be fair, if we dont win either game, Klopp will have to purchase with one hand tied behind his back... That isnt far from being labeled a crisis... especially if we want to keep our players happy... they are sold on a vision of challenging for top honours. So are the fans. No CL next year will feel like a complete failure of a season, despite what we have achieved.

CL football next year gives me the confidence we could actually win the Premier League next season.

We all know Klopp will not "make do" with a player... we could end up treadding water for a season, all the while everyone else strengthens.

Regardless we have to get numbers as well as quality this summer... because it is a bit of a joke we are in this position... it is not as if we are some sort of minnow

Just coming back from the game. We ****ing dominated them but we needed a Lallana/Can/Ox just to add that bit of quality in the midfield. Can’t complain though, we put just the right amount of effort in without over exerting and getting more injuries for the final.

Their fans were absolutely delighted even though they were ****e in attack. How times have changed...
