I looked at this with BT sport and they don't seem to do free trials I was looking at subscribing and cancelling it but it seems to be an 18 month sign up and you can't use the cooling off period if you actually use the service.

In our house we quote Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman doing 'Big Mistake' in the boutique when we choose to move our business somewhere else after being pissed off. You should put on a massive cream dress and flat rimmed hat and storm their offices with your Sky Q carrier bagsOriginally posted by dom9 View PostWell, the choices are:
1. Pay to watch the game at home - i.e. Subscribe, that's what they want me to do
2. Go to the pub and watch the game that the venue has forked out a substantial amount in order to get the trade
3. Watch it on an illegal stream
4. Don't watch it at all
I reckon option 3 is likely to spite the ****ers.

Surely a cooling off period is part of your statutory rights as a consumer?Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI looked at this with BT sport and they don't seem to do free trials I was looking at subscribing and cancelling it but it seems to be an 18 month sign up and you can't use the cooling off period if you actually use the service. Was muß, das muß.

You can't cast or hook up to TV through the EE promotion.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostIf we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I would have thought so too maybe it's BS put there to scare people, I don't know but it's clearly been thought about presumably to stop people from doing what I want to do.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostSurely a cooling off period is part of your statutory rights as a consumer?
No unfortunatelyOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It’s too big a match to leave to some temperamental stream.Originally posted by dom9 View PostWell, the choices are:

Ultimately Dom, I’m not sure a one man protest against BT is going to make much of a difference.
I signed up to BT Sport for the game v City, it’s been great watching the latter stages of the CL in HD rather than some **** pixelated stream.Modifying post.

Maybe a bit buffering every few games or so, but otherwise good. Plug the laptop into the telly and away you go.Oh I don't know.

I would happily pay for a day pass or even a month if I could cancel it, but I don't want to sign up for 18 months or even a year long subscription. It's really frustrating that they don't do day passes.

Game will be on BT showcase guys, it's from next season that the new Deal with UEFA kicks in where they don't have to show it on freeviewThey've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

Is this confirmed anywhere? I've seen them say they were showing the Europa league semi final first leg for free, but in searching for CL final I don't see an announcementOriginally posted by Hass View PostGame will be on BT showcase guys, it's from next season that the new Deal with UEFA kicks in where they don't have to show it on freeviewThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
