    Signings and progress with Klopp

Just thought I'd list our signings under Klopp and how we're progressed. I reckon we've shown real improvement and the majority of our signings have been pretty spot on!

    2016/17

    Marko Grujic
Scored a worldie header against Barca which started the whole Coutinho transfer saga. Went on loan to Cardiff and got them promoted!

    Joel Matip
He's tall, he's thin, just sneeze and run past him. Started well but ok backup.

    Loris Karius
He's neither a Strepsirrhine primate or slow but he's definitely German. Our No.1

    Sadio Mane
One of our best players and the inspiration for the follow-up to Bill & Ted's global peace bringing hit "God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You II"

    Ragnar Klavan
Few people know he carries a small axe down his shorts but rarely raids the opposition's box to plunder goals and pillage.. He's solid.

    Georginio Wijnaldum
In the first XI and ran the show against Roma. He has the opposite of resting bitchy face.

We finished the season in 4th and a CL place.

    ---------------------------------------

    2017/18

    Mohamed Salah
Messy hair, Messi feet, I just made a mess in my bedsheets. What a player, football viagra.

    Dominic Solanke
A bit **** really, but a legend of U-20s football.

    Andrew Robertson
A revelation. From supermarket to Fortnum & Mason in a few seasons.

    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Merci Arsene! Unfortunately merci CL Final too. His true potential was blossoming until a cruel CL semi final injury.

    Virgil van Dijk
This guy could probably head seagulls back out to sea. A rock, a leader, a Dutchman.

We're in the Champions League final and *should* finish 4th with a victory over Brighton on the last day...

    2018/19

Next season we'll have Keita and maybe Fekir, Neves, De Ligt and maybe a real league challenge on our hands!
    Was muß, das muß.

5 very good first team players (6 if you count Karius). Changed half the team in two seasons. Think Klopp is doing extremely well.
    Another MASSIVE game

We've also got a few good youngsters coming through (including Harry Wilson, who could be on the bench in the CL final?? Possibly play against Brighton???).

I've thought for a while that Klopp is doing a Fergie.

There is not really a dud among them, Solanke isn't working out but I can't call him a dud though.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think it is a clear change in strategy from previous managers, we seem to be going for the right players and quality rather than quantity. Solanke, Grujic and Klavan are the only 3 that aren't regularly in the starting 11, and that is because Klavan was signed as a backup and the other two are youngsters, those two need to be judged sometime down the road. But everyone else has done what we've wanted of them.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In Keita, Alisson, Fabinho & Shaqiri we have two starters & 2 strong bench players at this present moment in time & in the not too distant future that could become 3 & 1. The future looks rosey.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
