Jaysus - I remember that, throw in my years in UCC at Sir Henry’s and that adds more scars.

Just saw the second half. Shaqiri looked like he was playing for his world cup place!! Everyone looked sharp and slick. It wasn't about who we faced, it was about how we moved the ball and kept our focus. Can the season start already?

Sir Henrys Saw Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Sisters Of Mercy and many others play there.

Club nights were great there too. Fuzzy heads, ringing ears, then wander up Washington street to eat the sort of takeaway you need a skinful in you to brave.

Wow, this is from Football365 - how strong is our squad?!

                    3) Liverpool need to trim the fat
It’s as easy as this: pick an 18-man Liverpool squad for the first league game of the season. Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Lovren, Van Dijk, Henderson, Fabinho, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Mignolet, Klavan, Gomez, Milner, Shaqiri, Sturridge.

And then list the players who fail to make that squad: Karius, Matip, Moreno, Randall, Chirivella, Grujic, Markovic, Ojo, Wijnaldum, Ings, Origi, Solanke. That’s 12, plus a clutch of kids including Curtis Jones, Ben Woodburn and Rhian Brewster.

Nirvana played as support to Sonic Youth in 1991, then a few weeks later Nevermind was released and that was the end of them supporting bands in places like Sir Henrys

Have a few pics of the night floating about still. Me and my mates with Dave Grohl and a few with Chris Novoselic. Was Sonic Youth that we went to see but Grohl and Novoselic migled with the crowd as Sonic Youth were playing and they hung around in the bar afterwards.

Loved Sir Henrys back in the day. Still some great music in bars in and around that neck of the woods and some cracking spots to buy vinyl there too.

I went to UCC and the Wednesday night Freakscene was all the "Indie" music of the time. Legendary but filthy place

                              Could be good.

I've no idea how I could explain it to my missus without her thinking I was having an affair.
