I went to UCC and the Wednesday night Freakscene was all the "Indie" music of the time. Legendary but filthy place

Costelloes in Limerick was the same at the time. Brilliant music but if you stood still for too long your boots started to stick to the manky floor.


Dropped in there about a year or so ago and I would swear the same carpet and flooring is still there

I have soooooooooooo grown out of that scene now and even find it hard to listen to house/techno anymore. Sasha & John Digweed were some double act back in the day.

Used to travel everywhere for mad nights out but Henry's was a classic with the world's top DJs coming to play there. The resident djs had a weekly "sweat" session that was also famous.
