Thanks.
A fully fit Sturridge would give Klopp a nice selection headache (IMO - a fully fit Sturridge is England's best striker).
Gomez will learn from VVD but I'd go with Klavan against WH.
I'd rather have Origi on the bench ahead of Solanke.
I like Moreno - but not as a left back
Another MASSIVE game

I'd also rather Origi than Solanke at this stage. It's frustrating with Divock, he looks much stronger physically than when he left last year and he still has a bit of pace and skill about him but just not making the right decisions often enough at the moment.
He had a lively introduction, being involved in the build up to sturridges goal but then faded as the game came to a close. Needs a goal for his confidence. Even so, to have Sturridge, Shaqiri and Origi has back ups is nice depth. All have a bit of pace about them and are capable of making good runs beyond a backline.
Shaqiri in particular was rapid on one counter vs Napoli.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

If he was fit though I agree he’s would be a bi* asset. Just dint see him staying fit as we’ve seen it too many times.

Better movement, pace and finishing. I've yet to see Kane play better (but I agree that he is a very good player). I also don't think we'll see Sturridge c13/14 again

That's a silly thing to say if we do lose but our record is W37, D0, L1.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostPre-season and Transfer window champions.
Will count for nothing if we don't beat West Ham next Sunday.

Observations from yesterday:
Good seat - 5 rows from the front parallel to the 18 yard line where Liverpool attacked into second half. Klopp + Karius came into the crowd beside us after the game taking pictures and a few smart arses were having a pop at Karius from a distance which goes to show he'll never win the faith of the fans back.
Cracking weather, brilliant result, atmosphere was a little flat but to be expected for a pre season game.
Alisson - he is massive, saw him warming up and Karius looks a twig beside him. Mad how calm he is with the ball at his feet and some of his passes were amazing.......but he butchered one pass that gave them a chance and he flapped at a few balls into the box - I wonder the reaction if Karius did that what the reaction would have been. He oozes confidence though.
Clyne - solid and dependable but noticeably poor with the ball at his feet.
VVD - Immense and unbeatable in the air.
Gomez - did well but made a couple of mistakes, it helps with Alisson behind him if he needed to play it back to him. I think he has the physical attributes to succeed so hopefully he makes it.
Robbo - marked Callejon who was arguably their most dangerous player and did well. Man he is ****ing fast.
Gini - solid, kept things ticking over in midfield.
Milner - as above, he gets about the pitch and even for a pre season he left the boot in a few times.
Naby - we were very close to the pitch so hard to get that tv view, he did well when he had the ball but reading here a lot saying he was fantastic. I felt a number of others played better. I have full faith in him smashing it though.
Mane - fast, strong and can make space with a shimmy so well. I think he will have a big season this year.
Salah - postage stamp.
Bobby - for a guy that is back training a week he was superb - different class.
Subs
Shaq - he was brilliant playing as a false 9 and then wide, his decision making was superb. When to pass first time, when to take a touch and his weight of ball excellent - I think we have a bargain here.
Studge - missed two good chances and still looks like he plays within himself. Took his goal v well and some pass to Moreno - I pray he stays fit as he would be a massive asset.
Fabinho - pressed high up the pitch and very wiry physique which sees him nick the ball, did well.
Solanke - works hard but I don't see it with him.
Origi - all the physical tools but lacking something.
Jones - wow, we may have an absolute star here. V impressive.
Moreno - some hit for the goal and then two mins later he hacked a guy done with a wild tackle - same oul same oul.
TAA - some engine and way better delivery than Clyne.
Phillips - he was the opposite end to me so couldn't see much.
Great day and loads of kids there meaning the future Irish reds are still there in numbers. Looking forward to next week now.
Up the reds.

Surely they'll just bandage that up? I'd be surprised if that keeps him out, unless he got concussed at the same time.Originally posted by labourRed View PostI doubt Milner will be playing with a gash on his forehead. For me it's:
Alisson
Clyne Klavan VVD Robertson
Keita Fabinho Wijnaldum
Salah Firmino ManeIf we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It's pretty heavily bruised as well so it wouldn't be a lot of fun heading a ball. I just reckon with the strength we have there's no need to be putting players in who aren't at their best.Originally posted by RedReet View PostSurely they'll just bandage that up?
