I think the most telling thing is the number of injuries, one injury that puts you out for a year doesn't make you injury prone just unlucky and you can't really plan for that, someone who continually picks up injuries that put them out for a few games or more is more injury prone and less dependable
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It is a contact sport and players get injured. Defenders probably more than others.

You probably need to get used to it.

There are also players who rarely get injured, and then there's Matip, Gomez, and even Lovren. There are also defenses that don't have 4 out of their 5 CB's doubtful for the season opener, I would actually say we're in a minority here.

Also I'm really interested in this 'defenders get more injuries' idea, where is it from?

Top of my head, and I was out drinking late last night

Some players get more injuries than others, I am sure it is the same at every club. Once a player has a bad injury it also stands to reason they may be more susceptible to pick up others (not from the top of my head).

Its 50 plus games of contact sport.

I just find this thread unbarably negative.

why revel in injuries as soon as they occur and use them as a stick to beat players with? The odd comment in the relevant player thread if their injury record becomes an issue is fair enough but this thread is a wrong 'un.

May as well have a' **** misses by our players' thread or 'whose form has gone to ****'.

Glass half full posters constantly looking for things to complain about.

Sort of thing Klopp has been talking about trying to change fans mindsets of looking for the negatives rather than looking for the positive side of things

Letting clyne go on loan is looking like a major **** up.
No one was to know that our players were going to be queuing up outside the physio room but with the injury history of lovren, matip, and gomez it was a fair chance that we'd need the cover...

So clyne goes on loan, abd then trent gets injured. so no probs as gomez can cover, and a bone injury isnt something we could have predicted. So we now have to pinch one of our midfielders to cover right back.
Now only matip and lovren as cb cover to partner VVD. If anything happened to Big Virge then its all over for sure!
And now matip and lovren are out we can use fabinho as centre back cover, but this leaves us even thinner in midfield as one of the midfielders is also covering right back...

Its a truely **** state of affairs. Maybe klopp will bring Ki-Jana Hoever in.

If we dont win the premiership then this will be one if the main reasons we can all chat about for the next few years.
