Some of the people who are delighted have always wanted to sign him. Some still think he is overpriced/overrated but were desperate for us to get a properly competent keeper in. Others will have discarded their previous views now that he has signed. But then, that's not hypocrisy, it's hope. He's a football player, not a friggin worldview

I think I fall into that category but the excitement is **** all to do with Alisson and more to do with the fact the faux unconscious Karius could destroy our season.

The 75m was also not paid and we've basically got him for around 40m if you factor in Ward... and Alisson's wages aren't too bad either.
