Messi must be sick of him!

Should be 3rd in the Balonnn if they win it on Sunday.

Alisson Becker has enjoyed an incredible season with Liverpool and Brazil – and it shows no signs of stopping any time soon.

Having joined Liverpool from Roma last summer in a then-world record £66.8million transfer for a goalkeeper, Alisson ended his debut campaign at Anfield by lifting the Champions League, and he has now played a key role in helping Brazil to the semi-finals of the Copa America.

We’ve rounded up seven impressive stats from the 26-year-old’s outstanding season.

      – At the time of writing, Alisson has kept a clean sheet in his last nine appearances for club and country combined, going 846 minutes – almost 13 hours – without conceding a goal.

      – Despite there being one game of the Copa America remaining, Alisson has already secured the Golden Glove award.

      – The goalkeeper played every minute of Liverpool’s Premier League campaign. The last Liverpool stopper to do so was Simon Mignolet in 2013-14, when the Reds came so close to winning the Premier League title under Brendan Rodgers.

      – Alisson won the Premier League’s Golden Glove award after keeping 21 clean sheets from 38 games, one more than Manchester City’s Ederson, having conceded exactly one fewer goal than his Brazil team-mate.

      – Those 21 clean sheets are the most any Liverpool goalkeeper has collected in a single Premier League campaign – one more than Pepe Reina’s tally of 20 in 2008-09.

      – Of all the goalkeepers in the Premier League to make five appearances or more, Alisson’s save percentage of 77.08% was the best in the competition.

      – Alisson has played 10 times for Brazil to date in 2018-19, conceding just once. He is yet to taste defeat this season with his country.

      – Since completing his move to Liverpool, Allison has kept the same number of clean sheets (35) as he has conceded goals (35).

That’s really impressive stats that prove what we all know. He’s the best keeper in the world right now. And he’s ours.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Could he make the top 3 in the Ballon D'or?

Buffon came runner up once, and Khan was 3rd a few times. That's literally it for a keeper. Would be an incredible achievement if he did.

thought Lev Yashin won it? or I might be wrong

It’s hard to make the usual Messi/Ronaldo argument this year.

I reckon big Vurge is in with a chance. If Allison gets through the Copa without conceding that is a hell of an achievement.

Allison and VVD both deserve to be in the top 3

VVD should get it IMO he has been astonishing throughout but Alisson has been outstanding, world class keeper.

VVD Runner up in prem & got player of the year, won champs league & got man of the match in the final too, 6 Goals & 4 Assists at CB & hasn't been dribbled by any player all season. IMO Allison should prob get 2nd. We have the best CB in the world and the best GK in the world. Not too shabby. Really hope Brazil win the Copa, Bobby and Alisson deserve it.

Winning the summer tournaments can only help someone's cause, though Alisson getting the top prize would be unheard of. Mo taking Egypt to the AFCON might put him in an extremely advantageous position, something even Mourinho alluded to during the season.

VVD is universally declared as the best CB in the world, no matter what country in the world you go to, you'll get that same answer so in many ways he's in the elite level of Messi and ****face. CL win has put him in good shape for a vote.

Mane is underrated but should definitely be in the conversation -

Wow four Ballon D'or entries - Salah, VVD, Mane and Allison. In my opinion, TAA and Robertson should be nominated too, they've been utterly sensational.

Allison finally beaten by a pen in the Copa America.

                            Brazil 2-1 at HT.

Bobby involved winning the ball back (after giving it away) in the build up to the second goal.
