Why does it feel like in a few weeks from now, we’re going to hear how it’s still going to be another few weeks, and repeat until it’s been months?

Feels like this could be like Gomez again, bad news being managed in stages.

It might be that, but more likely because we’ve already seen the club do similar with Gomez and Clyne.

Edit: and when I say ‘similar’ I mean ‘exactly this’.

But there have been other injuries where the club have said it will be a few weeks and it has been a few weeks (Salah and Firmino tail end of last season) and others where the club have said it would be ages and it has been... ages (Ox and Brewster).

It looked like a calf strain, calf strain is 4-6 weeks. I’m going with that until we hear otherwise
