Either way, we're all happy that we're not seeing Loris any time soon

Yeah, that brought the heart rate up a bit this afternoon. I’ll take that Andy Lonergan ahead of Lorisk.

It looked like a calf strain, calf strain is 4-6 weeks. I’m going with that until we hear otherwise
It was nearly 2 months later before they revealed the extent of Ox’s injury.

Salah was concussion and it was immediately announced he’d miss one game, which he did.

Firmino ended up being out longer than Klopp let on too. But for the CL Final he missed the rest of the season, after Klopp said he’d be back for Barca/Newcastle.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t have confirmed that the scan revealed only a calf strain and no Achilles damage if that were the case. Feels like they’re holding something back to me.

So they didn’t lie with Salah, or Keita for that matter but they did with the others? I don’t agree on Bobby or Ox tbh, Bobby missed the second leg of the semi and I am sure the only reason he made the final was because it was sooo long after the season.

Fair enough with Gomez that one took ages.

That said I sense futility in this discussion

The thing is with all injuries there is a degree of ‘unknown’ I doubt it is anymore sinister than that.

They hardly need to lie about missing one game ffs! It was mandatory for concussion anyway!

The Bobby and Ox examples aren’t my opinion, it’s all fact. Go back and see for yourself! Although I’m not sure what you’re arguing with Bobby, because you’re actually agreeing with me? Klopp said he’d be back for Barca, then Newcastle. He wasn’t. Yes, we only saw him again because of the final. That’s what I’m saying! It was never acknowledged he’d be out for weeks at all.

Keita, yes and also Can and Mane in recent years, but these were all towards the end of the season anyway, so it was kind of a given they’d be out for the remainder.

We do have have a recent history of ‘managing’ how much information we reveal with early or mid-season injuries though. Even with Shaq, Klopp since admitted he had issues in the second part of the season but he kept putting him on the bench so as not to make it apparent.

Ok, I’m sure everything is fine. A few weeks it is then.

                      Oh **** off.

I raised a suspicion and backed it up with examples of how the club have played out some other recent long term injuries.

Doesn’t mean it’s happening this time, but if you’re saying the club haven’t done this before then you’re either not paying attention or you’re in denial.

Let’s hope that Adrián is so feckin awesome that Ali can’t force his way back into the team when he returns (in October...).

Seriously though... we need to pray this is not more serious than they are letting on.

The whole fact of the matter is, regardless of doom or not doom, there is nothing we can do about it - we can only change our perception of the situation (well, I can, not going to force anyone else to on here!). At least we have Adrian, who ,physically at least, looks like a goalie, and he did well in his first game without warming up. And he has a better aura than Mignolet, in my onion - he's more man goalie in 60 mins from what I've seen than Mignolet was in 6 years. I think that will bode well for us.
