Honestly I laugh when I see/hear people debating the best keeper in the league and people start saying Ederson, Martinez, Mendy or whothe****ever. It's not even close.
Was speaking to my United supporting mate a couple of weeks ago and he's like 'meh' when it comes to Alisson, reckons he's the same as other very good keepers in the league but not a stand-out. I shouldn't have been surprised but he reckons its "his mistakes that leads to goals" where he falls down.
Bizarre how Alisson and other players of ours (Matip, Fabinho etc) go under the radar. Almost as if people hate us so much they're completely blinded by it.

Reina often didn't get the credit he deserved as he rarely made MOTD saves, instead anticipating the danger before he's required to make a last ditch save.
While I suspect some of that is at play here, Allison's anticipation and position makes some saves look easier than they are (eg. Napoli) , but he still pulls off the world class saves, has excellent distribution, dominates his 6 yard box and headers better than most Cf's, so **** knows what these other supporters are seeing.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah but he let in two against AC Milan so he's proper **** right?

He is operating at the same level that Neuer was some six or seven years back and has been at that level since his break out season with Roma imo.
Even his style of goalkeeping is very similar to that of peak Neuer. Has no weaknesses to is game and is amazingly efficient is all aspects of goal keeping. Never moves more than he has to and his brilliant positioning means he regularly turns potentially dangerous attacks into very routine catches or saves.
He will have a night off tomorrow night though
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

A United fan I know - who does some writing for the nationals and appears on podcasts etc - says Alisson is a lucky keeper cos everything is hit straight at him. As if it's all just pure luck. Incredible.

I’m very comfortable with the idea that he probably is indeed the best in the world. I’m even more comfortable with others in the media or other clubs’ supporters not rating him as highly as that. Takes the pressure off, which is fine by me.
In the same way, I’m happy for Chelsea & City to be talked about as title favourites while we quietly get on with winning games. I don’t suppose we can stay under the radar forever if we keep winning but the longer, the better.

I figure I probably missed something somewhere, but Jesus Christ what hole did you crawl out from? Good to see you're still alive, bud.
