    Big Shaq.

Just imagine where we'd be without that goal and that Napoli save. By the time he retires/leaves he could well deserve to be up there in the conversation as one of our greatest ever players along with the likes of Gerrard, Kenny, Barnes, Souness etc.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

That's hilarious. In all seriousness though, he must be one of the best, if not the very best ever at one on ones. Great keeper but his work 1v1 is unheard of. The media don't even seem to notice it, it's like he does it so regularly without fuss it's just normal now.

It's definitely taken for granted and doesn't help that about 80% of them are discounted once the offside flag goes up.

Would love to see some proper analysis on the big saves he's made at key moments to give an idea of how many points/qualifications he's been instrumental in winning.

Commentators wank themselves off with the 'Schmeichel like' save line - **** off, it's 'Alisson like' now - the bar has been raised.

What I love about him in that is that he doesn’t berate his players after he saves our ass. He just gets on with it.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Got to love the way that often in a 1-on-1 he takes a step or 2 backwards, inviting the forward to take an extra touch, and then sprints forwards the moment they do, cutting down the angle dramatically.

friend of mine is a goalkeeping coach for a kids team, and we were talking about his 1v1 and interestingly my friend says he rushes forward when the attached lifts his eyes to shoot - kills the space and smothers the player just as he's aiming

going back to watch him play seems likely

Top performance from Alisson again today. Plus an assist which is ****ing ridiculous.

I remember Rush sort of did something similar (back in the day). He would wait to close down a defender until they had taken a touch and power out of the ball, then suddenly charge at them. All about the timing
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Unreal!! MotM, even though there were other decent candidates.

Thought his save from Haaland was really underrated. His weight is all on his left foot, going the other way, and somehow transfers it to get back across and make the save. ****ing outstanding.

I made the mistake of looking at a few 'combined XIs' in the week - the most pointless things ever - and every one had Ederson in. It's totally laughable.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
