Saying all of that Kelleher has had more opportunities than most number 2's to have game time over the last few seasons. Has played in LC and Euro, even got the EFL final season before last.

He is talented, but - no excuses for him imo. Time for him to deliver - I would imagine he feels the same.

He is great on the ball (better than Allison imo) but needs to do better on his shotstopping his tekkers was woeful yesterday. Mignoletesque, shots just went through him.

Shipping multiple goals every few games is not ideal - he was bailed out by the rest of the team yesterday.

He is exceptional in his distribution with his feet. Statistically he is a freak on that front. He has a 100% completion rate for short and medium range passes for the 6 PL games (tiny sample I know but that's every PL game he has to his name) and for his long passes he has a 56% completion rate overall but for the last two seasons it jumped to 80%.


Where he has declined statisically the past two seasons compared to the seasons prior is in his shot stopping. He has gone from exceeding his expected saves vs shots numbers to getting minus figures on that front. Basically the bread and butter stuff for a keeper has declined.


Again a tiny sample of games but one can only look at what is there.

Seems to have one or so a season where he gets injured in training and is out for a few games

I've never known a number 1 get injured every season. Usually the keeper is the one breaking consecutive appearance records unless they get a red along the way. Seems to be his kicking that causes it.

Checkout the injury history for Oblak, Courtouis and Neuyer - all much worse than Alisson’s.

Probably the same as the other longer term absentees like Jota, who was also not shown I think? They will be doing everything they can to get themselves back ASAP, which means no turning up for matches etc.

Have a tiny bit more sympathy for him now than if he'd gone on to be fit all season

He's played 4 times for his national team in 2024

Funny thing is that he's had a good run of games prior to joining us so we have ****ed him up with the type of training for our style of play
