Although the side was looking good at the weekend I think we might make a change or two, I suspect who depends on fitness, whose fitness needs to improve, who needs games and who isn't ready, We don't really know where Henderson is at fitness wise, he could come in or could be on the bench again. I think we may look to give Fabinho minutes from the bench. I think TAA could be rotated with Clyne.

This is it!
We humbled West Ham without getting out of 3rd gear, Naby did Naby things, Wijnaldum and Milner ran their arses off, the full backs supported the attack with aplomb and our front three were electric.
Big not-**** Virgil kept a lid on any attacks, and Gomez was whippin' Arnautović into submission (although lost him once..)
Four goals and could have been eight if not for Fabianski.

Maybe, but would not be great message to send to players who put in a good performance and then get dropped for the next game.
Rewarding good performances makes more sense to me as it encourages players to give their all to stay in the team.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

None of the starting midfielders deserve to be swapped out imo & Hendo didn’t do enough to force his way in either. That’s not to say he won’t but let’s settle on the same three for at least a few weeks to help Keita build a better understanding.Originally posted by Norbs View PostHendo does that about once a month, it's not a reason to bring him in. His build up play is too conservative when up against a team prepared to sit deep. We need a midfield with better movement and the ability to drive forwardMe, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Palace keeping hold of Zaha means they have a half-decent first eleven. They'll be up for it as Owlface will want to show he's some wisened, old master sorcerer like Gandalf - and will want to show the Anfield faithful that we've been missing... I hope that they get hammered by quick interchanges, clinical finishing and Woy's head is constantly deflated as per the much vaunted gif...

Really want a good win against this lot. We have had bad spells under a lot of managers over the past few decades, but under Hodgson is probably my only time as a Liverpool supporter that I cannot point to anything positive.
Other managers brought silverware and/or honts that we might be in the mix for the title. Some of them even managed to turn blind hope into expectation.
But every moment under Hodgson was a slog. Awful football. Constant excuses, many coming in pre match press conferences before a ball was even kicked. The man totally sucked any joy out of watching football, and was little more than a stinky turd that would not flush away quick enough.
Come on Jurgen. Get the boys really up for this one, and have that floater rubbing his jowls away in despair.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

They actually do have a decent team. I was a fan of that young RB when I seen him last year and he seemed to have a good match against Fulham. PVA is dangerous on the other flank and Sakho is capable of monstrous performances occasionally. Their CM's probably not great, but Kouyate could come in and he's the type of player that used to cause us problems. Townsend is ****, but can be a handful on his day and as crap as Benteke was last year, he looked a bit better against Fulham. Zaha is obviously their main danger and they could possibly have Meyer from the bench.Originally posted by Tribute View PostPalace keeping hold of Zaha means they have a half-decent first eleven. We should win this and win it comfortably, but if Palace got a bit of good fortune, they could make things awkward for us.
I was a big fan of Sahko when here and I certainly wouldn't identify him as a weak link, but he was lucky to get away with a pen decision at the weekend and can be guilty of clumsy challenges, so I wouldn't be surprised if we were awarded a pen in this match (seeing as it's not at Anfield).Last edited by RedReet; 14-08-18, 03:14 PM.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It's surreal really, him signing PFK and Poulsen and bigging um Northampton while playing 9-1-0 tactics. I never thought we'd get back to being challengers.

Sakho would normally have trouble with players like Salah and Mane, PVD and Sakho should be pretty busy with Salah.Originally posted by RedReet View PostThey actually do have a decent team.
