I wouldn't worry too much about that. They were a better team then and we have improved massively since. None of the scorers in either of those matches will be playing at the weekend and obviously Mahrez is a huge loss too.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

True, but our recent form against them is good, plus we had seven different first team starters when they last beat us compared to who we will put out at the weekend and they will be without the best players they had when they last beat us in the leage (Mahrez, Drinkwater, and Vardy)Originally posted by Tribute View Post...it was more about the specific away fixture. We've only won 1 of the last 3 against them in the Premier League.
Our team when they last beat us in the league was Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lucas, Milner, Can, Lallana, Wijnaldum,Coutinho, Mane, and Firmino.
We are a far better and stronger team nowI don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

agreed... but that's not the worst LFC team I've seen over the last few years... Hoping you're right and we just get an early one and completely batter them!

Oh our team that day was not a bad one, it is just that we are a lot stronger now as a unit whereas it could be argued that the XI they start with at the weekend will be weaker than the team that beat us in early 2017.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Taa (and maybe robbo, as he switches wings) will have to be at the top of his game as he'll be up against demarai grey who is fast and controls the ball really well keep an eye on this lad, a decent prosect...
Reckon ths is where our game will be won or drawn.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Based on what I have seen of him for Leicester this season, I reckon Maddison is fast becoming their key man.
A hell of a lot of their forward play, be it central or out wide, seem to start from his passing and reading of the game.
As cliched as it is to say, if we win the midfield battle then we cut off their supply line.
Leicester have some good players who on their day can do damage to teams, guys like Maddison, Iborra, Grey, Ndidi , and even Iheanacho (he and Maddison seem to link very well despite not playing a lot together beforehand), but they have more to be worried about in our team than we do from their team.
Salah, Mane, Firmino, and Keita are a movement filled nightmare for back lines, and in Milner and Wijnaldum we have two players who are really in their stride for us in tentre.
Even at the back we are looking more confident and assured than we have in a long long time.
Sure Leicester have it in them to get a goal or two, but when you look at our team we have the potential to outscore them handily if they turn it into a gunfight of a game.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He looked very good against the Mancs and also looks to have a bit of a nasty streak in him when needed.
Was very good against Wolves as well.
Starting to see why Klopp had an interest in him.
But it is one thing doing it against a lacklustre Mancs and a decent Wolves team. Doing it against a team that is stronger in every department is a very different kettle of fish.
All depends on how Leicester set up against us. They come at us and attack and I would fancy us to win 1-4 or 2-5.
If they sit back and show too much respect like they did against the Mancs then I would be hoping for a 0-2 or 1-3 to us.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Watching Man Utd is funny but I imagine Spurs, Chelsea and Man City winning pretty much every game.
In these early rounds, it is all about keeping ticking over. What is noticeable already is that Liverpool and Spurs haven't done much rotation. We have started each game with the same line up. Whereas Pep has rotated his line up and it has cost him 2 points.
In reality, when European football kicks in, that is when we will see the squad being used. And I think it is only then that we will see how good our squad is.
It would be great to win our first 2 or 3 games in the CL and put that to bed - because around October, November, December - we have some tricky games then. What helps is the fact that we are home after every CL game (or did I read that wrong?) That could be worth a couple of points by the end of the season.
It is funny how the general rhetoric has gone from "It's Man City's for the taking.......but maybe Liverpool can be there if they slip up" to "Spurs could also get in the act after beating United at Old Trafford"
I think you touched on a good point with Chelsea. If they make a conscious decision to play their squad / youth players in the Europa League, then they could have a good go at the champions league too. It will depend on a number of factors but for me, they have players that will want to prove that they are better than they showed last season.
It is going to be a good season.
Getting back to the Leicester game, I think we just need to keep on doing what we have been doing. It would be great to get the win - it will hopefully put a bit of extra pressure on our rivals to keep up.
A win for LFC, a Rafa-inspired 0-0 for Newcastle and a 1-1 in the Watford v Spurs game would be very nice weekend!!
