26 out of 28 PL seasons a points tally of 97pts would've won it. It's typical Liverpool that we've hit the heights when someone else is freakishly good.

They've made us raise our game and be ruthless. We probably don't sign Allison and VVD if City don't get 100 points last year.

I’ll be really disappointed if we don’t win the PL. I don’t get this ‘been a great season’ stuff and I won’t be celebrating coming second. Having said that, wouldn’t be surprised at Burnley and/or Leicester taking points off City and we win the league.

A disadvantage we have every year is that our city Derby is against a non top rival.

Because those two Everton games have been very difficult this season and cost us 2 points. And could have have been more.

City don't have this additional 'difficult' game. Their Derby is united with whom our games mean even more for each club.

We've been exceptional this season and whatever anyone else throws at us we should take great pride in it.

City are ruining the game in this country. When are all their investigations coming up? Would be interesting to see what kind of sanctions go in place. Transfer bans are one thing, financial penalties are meaningless. Stripping titles? Retrospective FFP failures resulting in European bans?

Yeah, this is it for me. We can’t point the finger of blame.

We are looking at 1mm on Mane shot and the red for Komoamy rather than we played **** at Utd. We needed to be almost perfect since the New Year and we have been so very close to it.

This team deserves a lot of praise.

My hope is that Pep fancies another challenge, such as Juve

Uefa are investigation financial manipulation of accounts with regard to FFP. Would probably mean they would have failed FFP for a 2nd time, the manipulation being an aggravating factor. Likely punishment a year European ban.

FIFA are investigating acquisition of youth players and third party ownership. Likely two window transfer ban. Won't affect them much imo. Would need to be two summers and a winter.

FA and PL are also looking into youth transfers and FFP. Any punishment from them would have to be different from the others.

Got to start docking points of stripping titles.

I'm just feeling totally dejected as getting to 97 points and missing out would be outrageous. I too feel like City are ruining the game in this country as they have two teams ffs and if you can't win the title with 97 points due to one club blatantly cheating then what's the ****ing point?

The premier league will be no different to Italy or Germany. Like has been said 97 points would win the league 26 years out of 28 and it's no coincidence the two years exception are due to those cheating cunts down the Lancs.

Even a CL win won't get rid of the feeling if disappointment but I hope we Smash Pepes beloved Barca.
