two breaks of 10 and 11 days whilst City and Spurs have two legged league cup games and going deeper into the FA cup.
Nice rest for VVD, Robertson, Gini, Mane, Firmino, Salah.
Other than December we haven't looked our best, 2 chances to fine tune our game. Matip/Gomez back in, possibly the Ox?
Just need to muddle through the next 5 winnable games then strap in for the chaos

We need to bring in another body. Strengthen the squad and give us another push. I'd prefer an attacking player if possible.
Also think we would be better binning the champions league off to go full strength in the league now. It's so close we don't need any distractions.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

we have 10 days off before first leg, and second leg is between Burnley/Fulham, weigh it up once/if we get past Bayern.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostAlso think we would be better binning the champions league off to go full strength in the league now. City have Chelsea/Arsenal in the league before we have CL as well.
Got to be fluid situation, it would be the most glorious double ever

Looking at Citys potential fixtures if they get to the league final and semi's of FA cup and CL. Theyll have only 2 free midweeks between now and end of season which is reserved for Fa cup 3rd and 4th round replays. Shame the Fa have scrapped 5th round replays a year early as it would be impossible to fulfill their fixtures
Absolutely no way that pile up doesn't take its toll on them.

It would help if they didn't have such easy cup draws. I think they can probably rest loads in both legs against Burton and comfortably get away with it. Same goes for Sheff Wed/Luton in the FA Cup too.Originally posted by Liverpool View PostLooking at Citys potential fixtures if they get to the league final and semi's of FA cup and CL. They got Burnley at home in the Cup, which while another piece of piss they'd have to field a semblance of a strong side.
The Burton and Schalke (CL) draws are absolute piss takes though. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

They do get easy cup draws though...... the cup draw last night was as exciting as the game.........was hoping to **** that City got Spurs, Arsenal or United away from home........died a bit when City were drawn out though...... first they get a home tie....booooooo
then they get drawn to Burnley...... ffs. I just hope Burnley kick them now and make it a tricky game for them. But in reality they will be fine v Burnley......but hopefully get a physically demanding game in the next round. Chelsea away or something like that.....
