Things will be looking sweet if we get a good haul of points from out next 5. All our rivals are playing each other so dropped points for them are a given. Winning all 5 would be good because it includes the bitters

    11/11 - Man City v Man Utd
    24/11 - Spurs v Chelsea
    02/12 - Arsenal v Spurs
    05/12 - Man Utd v Arsenal
    08/12 - Chelsea v Man City

Next up for us after that in United at home so would be good to be pushing 15 points clear of them going into Christmas!

      Yep.

A highly sensible analysis. It will be interesting to see who will take points off City.
      Oh I don't know.

A few draws would be nice.

We are going to get our record points total this season and still won't win the league due to these cheating cunts.

Tenner says we don't get our record points.

Got a nagging feeling we will be fighting for 3rd 4th in the end. This goes against our current points haul and position, I have nothing to base it on apart from 'a feeling. Hope to **** I'm just being over pessimestic.

If Keita specifically, and Fabinio to some extent, had hit the ground running then I would be confident of a sustained title push, but that it looks like it will take more time for them to adjust makes me think that the league will slip away from us sooner rather than later. I think a late seaon push will get us back to second or third, and if we're still in the CL then, could see us do well in that. Obviously largely guesswork at this stage though.

Yeah agreed we won't be overhauling City. They'll probably win it by 10 points or so. Not a lot you can do about them winning every game and battering nearly all of their opponents.

If we come 2nd with a significantly closed gap (on City from last season) then that has to be seen as more progression. I'm enjoying this, and I'm not gonna whinge off the back of our best start in the PL era.

                      I dunno.

If City lose to United next week (not impossible by any stretch) and we win (as we should), we're back in on top with Chelsea.

It's close. I think it'll stay that way.

But City are ****ing annoying though.

The annoying thing is and i am not the first to mention this is that all the other teams have effectively given up against city.

God knows how many titles utd won through teams taking the same approach, but it was quite a few. Fergie left, teams lost that sense of inevitably and they've been average since.

Yup, they clearly are a world class team but Bristol City showed they can be got at. Although they seemed to have moved on from playing Otermendi which is as good a move as ****ing off Hart and getting Ederson in. They'll piss the league IMO.
