Zaha didn't get a sniff for the first 25 mins because we were so dominant with the ball. Because we conceded the first goal, we had to make the game a bit frantic, but we should have been better when we went ahead and not allowed Palace in the game.

The West Hame game will suit us.
To me this is the first game this season we have really forced our play when in front

Previously when we have gone into the lead we have been content to probe for openings with over-committing

V Palace the midfielders were going beyond the ball too much trying to get another goal

This suited Palace as they have pace on the counter

There was a period after our 3rd goal when Palace had 11 behind the ball and VVD & Matip were knocking the ball around the back, cant remember which one it was but Henderson or Fabinho dropped in to pick the ball up then immediately pushed the ball forward and made a forward run off the pass (and lost it)

We should have been content passing it between the centrebacks and see if we could draw Palace out, the onus was on them to come out and equalise

Zaha caused us all sorts of problems in that game. Well, Millie in particular.

He's been a bit of an enigma. I see Dortmund are keen on a deal circa £50m and on the last game's evidence he looks worth that.

I don't think we need a player like him, especially now we've Shaqiri but he's certainly not made the most of his obvious talent and physical attributes, yet.

Every league game in March on a Sunday. Suppose it gives us an extra day's rest after Watford and Bayern but still a bit ****. Burnley at 12 on a Sunday is grim.

Burnley should be Saturday given we have Bayern midweek after

Liverpool will have to follow Manchester City throughout March after the latest raft of televised games were announced.
The Reds have been scheduled to play after their title rivals on all four Premier League weekends during the month.

Doesn't matter as long as we concentrate on our own games only. Sky are obviously looking to make it a one point race as much as possible. Although if city slip up, then our chance to extend a lead would be great

League cup final means Everton game will be moved and United game will be moved due to FA cup, then if City make the FA cup semi they'll stay a game behind us until the end of April.

                  Good point.

Those cup games will (assuming we keep winning) give us opportunities to build a gap.

There is talk in the FF communities that City could have a match brought forward to midweek next week if they progress in the FA cup this weekend.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

There is already a full round of fixtures next mid week?

Not this week, the following. It's the only midweek City will have spare for rest of season.

Everton will be match fixing v City (though it wouldn't matter if they played properly anyway) on Feb 6th. Both clubs probably wanted it re-arranged asap so City get the points on the board.

I was not expecting anything from this, Chelsea I think will be the next realistic chance of City dropping points
