Newcastle win and pretty much guarantee their own safety. Now they can rest. Hopefully deflates Cardiff further too.

City will piss all over Palace, Spurs and Utd are the games where we might have our defining moments.

I think if City did drop points at Palace, it would make Anfield a bag of nerves and lump on the pressure.

Quite happy for us both to win, get Porto out the way, Barca semi confirmed then let City drop points at United/Spurs. Don't want the pressure to crank up too soon, sitting on the shoulder suits us unless we run out of games!

Or it will fortify our belief and City will blubber into nothingness. Strange line of thinking.

It's still better than them winning

Heard the same from a few match going mates so not just me

both win we keep the pressure up, they draw and then we see out a nervy draw, they've gotten away with one and kills our momentum a bit.

You cant underestimate the impact of the nerves and anxiety coming from the stands, seen it at Leicester earlier in the season. The wait for the title is crippling, the smallest amount of time and home games left being top suits us.

Its not just at the match the players feel it, but whenever they are out and about.

I think you're over thinking this. We need them to slip up, they might not. Any time is a good time.

We are dealing with so many hypotheticals and most of what we as supporters throw into the mix is mostly just a coping mechanism. Ultimately what we want or hope for has little baring on what happens our contribution is minimal.

That’s why it is so frustrating. It’s close. So close.

                    But.

I hope City drop points v Palace. At best we beat Chelsea and it is in our hands.

At worst. We keep on hoping and believing.

We just need to win regardless of what they do so I don't see any more or less pressure on us.

I think (hope) it's slightly different now. Earlier in the season, even when we were 7 points clear, there was still that doubt amongst supporters. Many didn't believe we were good enough to win the title and were fortunate to be where we were because we weren't playing well and scraping past teams. We could have went 10 points clear by beating City, but that was cut to 4 and all the fears and worries for some supporters were brought to the fore. We lost to Wolves next (in the cup), scraped past Brighton and fans were rightly nervous and this reflected in our next few games.

Now though, we have shown that we are good enough and everyone (bar Valakha maybe ) believes we can win it. If City drop points to Palace, I think Anfield will be buzzing and the atmosphere will more like a CL game, rather than the nervy encounters we had against Leicester or West Ham. Even if we go behind, I expect a Burnley type response from the fans.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

If we're top come Monday then we're still in with a chance, if we're not, we're not. Simple as that

City to lose against Palace then a crazy atmosphere at Anfield for the game against Chelsea. The week City lost the Prem and got knocked out of the CL.
                            Another MASSIVE game

The way things are going Man U are definitely going to need to get something v City. They are falling slightly behind in the race for top 4. Spurs also will need to Avalon defeat v them.

If we can come out of tomorrow’s fixture top of the League then it really is looking good.
