The pressure will get higher and higher the closer it gets. If we keep winning, then they won't even like their final.game (away at Brighton isn't it??) Obviously Brighton are **** but you never know.

I agree, but it's nice to see us get our steel back so it's possible we win our remaining games, after having bottled a few in late Jan/early Feb.

It's got to be bugging them, we are playing with a fearless emotional control getting through tough fixtures. They haven't looked great lately really, still winning but I think we look a better side. Utd are pathetic in big home games but winning away there with the pressure of having to win won't be easy. I'm a bit less hopeful about the Spurs game, Wednesday night then Saturday morning is horrible for Spurs given both are away and they can't freshen it up like City can, Kane already injured etc but we'll see.

Personally, I think that Wednesday is critical. Spurs were able to rest players yesterday, and if they can get a result that knocks City out of the Champions League, that would be pretty demoralising for City. All of a sudden, recent talk of a "quintuple" goes out the window and who knows where that will leave the team psychologically.

Going out of the CL could go either way, it could as you say damage them psychologically, alternatively it could motivate them to ensure that they don't slip up in the league. It also reduces the number of games that they have between now and the end of the season and could give them an advantage over us in that regard if we go through.
