Booked an apartment for last game of season back when fixtures were announced in June. Was surprised how cheap it was as it sleeps 8 and was half suspecting they would contact us to move us to a smaller room. Just about dropped my guard when they phoned yesterday to say that the room was flooded and they can't offer an alternative, only a refund.
The room is still showing as available tomorrow night and the night after we stay. Is it worth trying to phone and book it, once they confirm it's free, threaten to go to Echo with story. If so, would the Echo really care that they are shafting fans that have flights booked an paid for and as far as they know tickets (tickets fell through, but that irrelevant). They've also had a cancellation for one of their rooms today that they could have easily offered.
Edit: It was with Epic, through booking.com, not some private apartment.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I have no advice to offer but that's a plums trick. Sneaky *******s.
It's a double whammy too. ****ed us over for this match and put us off staying again and they were our favourite place since Signature went all stag and hen.

****ing too right try and book, then tell them you are going to every paper, posting it on Social media, trip advisor etc then sit back and enjoy the free champaign when you get there. Cunts.

Unfortunately just one bad trip advisor review won't make much difference.
