I think for a time there the not losing took precedent over going for the win. Shame. I don't see us ever hitting quite the heights again but maybe we will. Big season next year. Still slim chance on Sunday.
Those points were dropped months ago. There is little you can do when the team you are up against has only dropped 3 points since boxing day.

If we finish with 97 points then champions or not no one can be judgemental on any game that we dropped points on.

Actually even with the points we have now the same applies.

It's a phenomenal season and it's impossible to have a 114 point season.

No point looking back at points lost, if we don't win it will because of the points City won, not because of any points we lost.

Me too, exactly that. Shouted "shoot you cunt", and was muttering "over the bar" as it crashed into the net.

Nice sentiment but we did lose those points. It's not a stick to beat the team with though, we've clearly exceeded expectations. It feels to me what if. Attack Utd and we are there. But we just need to have another crack next season. This team has spirit in buckets.

Maybe we beat Utd though and that affects something else in the run in? It’s all hypothetical.

We’ve won so many games this season we can’t complain about the couple of times we only got a draw particularly when we backed it all up with what 8 or 9 wins in a row?

For me the big game was City, and we may have had luck elsewhere in the season but we got **** all that day.

There’s nothing more we could have done this season - the team have given us everything and to not acknowledge that would be criminal.

Win on Saturday and we’ve only lost once and could only be 17 points better off if we’d won every game. It’s a phenomenal achievement. The fact that we won’t win the title is just sport. Sometimes you can be ****ing great and not win.

Chin up lads, we'll be even better next season.

Kompanys goal was a 2% chance, add in a centre back hit it rather than an attacker and ****ing zero

If city win then it's because they took four points off us.
I've got no problem with that.
                    Both fantastic teams.

When something like that happens you know their name is on the trophy.

So what are we expecting on Sunday, City to go out and steam roller Brighton and get a big win, or us to be leading and their game to be at 0-0 for a while, us to build up hope and then them to win 1-0 in the last 20mins to snatch the title?

I think they'll score early on the way to a very comfortable win, but what I hope happens is that it doesn't get to the Anfield crowd in a negative way as the news comes in, and instead rallies the atmosphere and they get behind the team even more to send them off well for the season end.

                            Just wasn't to be.

IMO they will bombard Brighton in the first 15 mins and get an early goal. Brighton are a **** side that barely escaped relegation but they did and have nothing to play for. Expect nothing from this game as City will win.

                              So ****ing close, totally gutted.

Havent expected city to drop points since the Tottenham game, but this one was just super annoying as once again another team sat back and tried for the draw.

At least my UTD friends havent been as vocal as I expected. Maybe it was my quip of enjoy being the Everton of Manchester from now on that quietened them.
