I don't want to sound negative but we've actually been pretty lucky with injuries this year. We wouldn't have done what we did if VVD, Mane, Salah or Firmino had long injury spells. We don't need to go crazy in the summer but great teams always build from a position of strength and hopefully we do to.

Do you know what, **** it.

Last night I was distraught and didn't feel any better this morning but there's still an almighty but slim chance it will go tits up for City and I think it will, stranger things have happened.

Surely we can't play the way we have and be it all for nothing. We're pretty much out of the Champions League now pending a miracle but at least Brighton can still hurt City and I know they will want to **** them up.

I'm going to go against everything here and say we'll win it next Sunday, what have we got to lose, if we don't believe in miracles then why bother.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

So tough to take- this last 12 months has been the saddest of my life, having seen my wonderful Mum worsen then ultimately succumb to Alzheimer’s. LFC have provided a massive distraction to my grief though so I suppose from a personal note that is even more important than winning the league and that’s way I’m gonna take it. Yesterday was already an emotional day though for one reason or another and a good result would’ve taken the edge off that rather than magnified it. Difficult not to feel utterly deflated today- ****ed if I’m feeling defeated though.

No real order to my thoughts there, just trying to make sense of things before work cos my head is battered.
Sorry to hear that Robo, chin up... you've got a lot of good days ahead too. Condolences for your loss, it's tough to take but time can be a healer - I lost my mum just over a year ago to a combination of Dementia and Parkinsons... just hold onto the good memories... of your mum and the boys in red!

I can't wait to finish work and start drinking again.

A friend of mine said to me the other day that it could be a terrible 2 weeks to be a Liverpool supporter. He wasn't wrong.

Liking the optimism Slinks, rallying call and all that! Would love to see the headline 'Seagulls **** on City Celebrations'

Fair point mate. We have ridden our luck on the way but I guess you make your own luck so we can maintain.

I'm just feeling pretty despondent right now

Really sorry you've had a terrible time of it.

                    Oh I don't know.

We also had a few games that we were more than capable of winning and just did not. Leicester, West Ham, Neverton, the Scum. Should have been an extra 4 points at least from that lot.

Looking for a bright side/clutching at straws...
We have done better than ever, points wise, mostly due to our improved defence and keeper.
In previous years when we have done well we have then had to cope with selling one of our most important players, but if we have no big name stars leaving then we will be in a fantastic position to build on this and make a serious challenge and push city right to the wire again.

When they went out of the CL it was possibly the moment they gained back a small advantage.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Nah **** it. I will try my damnest not to be as engaged next season.

They're averaging 99points a season and about to spunk another 200m on more class. They've just had 13 league wins on the bounce conceding just three. The deck is utterly stacked against us.

Top 4 and go all in on Europe from here on, the title is beyond us until the financial doping stops or Guardiola ****s off to pastures new.

It would certainly help if more teams didnt bend over so easily for them and actually try.

This. Pisses me off no end seeing how teams cower against them and yet when they play us it’s like their lives depend on it. Makes me sick

I've seen the same levelled against us by their fans. The reality is we are both very good teams.
