They will still have enormous pressure to make sure they don't slip up against Brighton. We've dealt with our pressure and are in the final, and they're not... Damn right we are in their heads. We need to believe and do our job until there is nothing else to do. The Weekend should be a celebration no matter what happens. Are we winning?

It definitely will be now! I think had we gone out last night there would have been a few supporters heads down even if we'd beaten Wolves. Not now! We have a European Cup final to look forward to!Originally posted by Fredo View PostThey will still have enormous pressure to make sure they don't slip up against Brighton. Let's hammer Wolves, get Mo top scorer again, and regardless of the City result give these lads the standing ovation they deserve!

I hope they're up for the challenge.Originally posted by dizzycat View PostBrighton should be inspired by last night to create their own bit of football magic. The eyes of the world will be on them and fame awaits the winning goal scorer!!

I’d pretty much given up hope of anything other than the phenomenal effort we’ve put in this time yesterday.
Still think City will be too street wise for Brighton.
But another CL final will be a hell of a consolation prize. And, same as last year it takes loads of the media focus away from whatever City do which will be annoying for them
We have the massive advantage of having experienced the final last year. I can’t imagine a team in history will have more desire than us.Modifying post.

Same here, but I thought the same for Leicester and it took rabbit out of the hat for them to win that one. They’ve also scraped most of their recent results by the narrowest margin, including Brighton in the cup. They’ve been within a whisker of drawing a bunch of recent games.
Still don’t really think there’s any real chance City will slip, but after last night I also can’t help thinking about the possibility of things finally aligning for us and the unimaginable happening.
Realistically though City will win the League. But at least last night gives Liverpool the chance to get a hugely deserved trophy this season. Already a hell of a turnaround from this time yesterday..

It was mentioned a couple of times by the pundits and analysts how the City - Leicester game would have had a psychological effect on us going into the Barcelona game. I wonder if us winning against Barcelona like that will get into their heads, obviously they aren't playing us and have it in their own hands, but it must really piss them off that we haven't gone away, a game like last night shows what we are capable of, I wonder if that will add that little bit of extra pressure to them. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I do wonder if last night might have ****ed with the City player's heads a bit.
And whilst of course they can go hammer and tongs to try and score 3 or 4 there's always the chance they go one up and don't know whether to stick or twist at which point the sucker punch could always come.
So although I'd rather we were in their position (obviously) in some ways we have an easier job in so much as we just have to go out and win come what may and then see what happens down there.
