it's ****ing mad isn't it.Originally posted by Liverpool View PostI've surprised Pep hasn't told their fans to knock that chant on its head before now and now the players are doing it. Going to be some atmosphere when they rock up here next season the stupid cunts.
This thing where all the country hates us is mad, and I think its rooted in a hatred of this city just as much as the club tbh.
I couldn't believe the Wolves fans on Sunday. Singing wheres your atmosphere then singing our Bobby song then Allez Allez Allez and not a hint of irony.
I can only put it down to jealousy - when you look at the club and the city, there is a great atmosphere - it's lively, we have things like Jamie Webster's BOSS nights, I went to Hotel TIA before the Huddersfield game and it was ****ing bonkers, I went the Sandon before the Wolves game and that was another level.
We've got a great side, it's likeable, there are no knobheads or controversial characters like we had with Suarez - we have a fun manage who is engaging. we have buoyant fanbase who are well on board for the ride.
On the pitch we are miles ahead of everyone in Europe, bar City and we are closing on them
Off the pitch tho as a fanbase, we are miles and miles ahead of everyone. And that's what is getting them
We have our little thing going on and no one can stand it - no one else seems to get why we are all buzzing when "we haven't won anything" - so they're desperate for us to not win anything because they know when we do, we will have one ****ing epic party and they're not invitedi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

There's definitely massive envy of our fan culture. We've so much going on, such a vibrant fanbase and culture that they're all incredibly jealous of. They all claim to hate us but they all nick our songs and they all try to replicate the scenes on the Kop by all handing out plastic flags. They all want to be us. They literally want to be us while claiming they hate us.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

There is absolutely nothing more small time than plastic flags. Even jester hats and half and half scarves.

Well summed up.
I particularly don’t get the claims that our supporters are ‘crying’, despite what happened pretty much everyone seems buoyant, and that is because of the enjoyment of the ride.Modifying post.

I’m not from Liverpool so can’t really say, and certainly the club and city has supporters from all over the world.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostI kind of go with the resentment for the city and liverpudlians theory.
Name another city in the country that's been stigmatised in the way Liverpool has in the past 50yrs.
I’d say that stigma was political and is then used as a stick to beat the team with by rival supporters.
I am Scottish though so understand a fair bit about people having negative or less than pleasant associations with where you are from and a negative stigma being formed and often used against you within the UK
And that’s been going on for 100’s of years
