On their day Watford are a very dangerous opponent.

Could be a tricky fixture in advance of a few tricky fixtures where an improved Everton and an unpredictable Man U await.

These are the games we have to win if we want to be contenders.
    Modifying post.

Another must win. Spurs lost there, United won there (lucky as ****).

Watford done ok at home against us since Klopp took over and a decent start to the season. No idea how this doesn't get picked for tv and Fulham home does.

We bamboozled them with Salah scoring four.

They're a better side but I still think we can win again.

Big test for us this..... if we can win against them whilst there enjoying good form at there place then we seriously are as good as our stats say. Added bonus of spurs or Chavs (hopefully both) loosing points this weekend too.

In to these cunts. Though Jurgen will have to warn our players they can't put a foot off the ground or breathe near an opponent in the penalty area, which annoyingly puts us at quite an enormous disadvantage. Jon Moss is a fat mess. And that **** of a linesman who's doing the game again.

A win here - after the inty break - would be great.

Incidently, isn't it ****in annoying how we are away from home after every international break? Spurs, Huddersfield and now also Watford. I suppose we are at home after every champions league game but never the less, it is ****in annoying.

A win here though will be feckin great. Keep momentum up and all that. If we have 33 points out of a possible 39, then we go into December - a month that can make or break a title challenge - set up well. Fingers ****in crossed.

It doesn't feel like a race because City are in everyone's heads. It's like they're destined to have 100 point seasons every season.

Like those racing games where you have to beat your ghost rider and the better you do, the harder it is to beat your previous race's ghost.

Klopp on new Mane deal - 'It's a big sign'

The Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp opens up by fielding a question about Sadio Mane's new contract and whether the player understands he is a world-class forward.

"It’s not like you say 'good morning Sadio, you are world class'," Klopp said.

"It is obvious he is not aware of that, that’s how it is. We always expect these boys to be finished in their development early in their lives but he has done really well.

"I’m really pleased and happy that he’s signed this contract. It’s a big sign. If a player is in a good moment and you can extend his contract it is more than a signing, it’s a statement. It shows the change the club has made in the last few years.

"In the past players thought they had to leave the club to make the next step. Now our boys think they can make the next step here."

                              'I'll try to be nice'

Now not sure Jurgen Klopp enjoyed this one.

He's asked to respond to claims made by Egypt manager Javier Aguirre that Liverpool could lose Mohamed Salah if they don’t win trophies over the next two years.

"I’ll try to be nice," he says as he winds up his response.

"If he doesn’t win in the next two years he has to move to another club or country. It’s not that important, to be honest, it’s in the world of the media. I don’t agree with that but it’s a free world and he can say anything he wants.

"I shouldn’t have made any comment to that, so maybe you can delete that."

'Of course he will not leave'

The Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has tackled speculation over the future of Brazil midfielder Fabinho, who has been linked with moves to Juventus and AC Milan.

Fabinho, 25, joined Liverpool from Monaco in July as part of a deal that could eventually be worth more than £40m.

"He settling," Klopp said. "He's played three of the last four and he did well. Now the most intense period of the season is coming up and he has used his time to adjust to what we want.

"And of course he will not leave. That would be completely crazy. It's the world we are in where people don't play for a few games and they are open for a transfer.

                              'It's a proper package'

Not a lot of ammunition for the Watford boss Javi Gracia to pin up on the dressing room wall here as manager Jurgen Klopp goes into a eulogy about Liverpool's opponents on Saturday.

"They've been really good," he said. "I think they've won six games. They play good football, are lively, and well organised in a 4-4-2 with a good game-plan.

"We played two weeks ago against Fulham and [Aleksandar] Mitrovic did a similar job and Troy [Deeney] is another [like that]. It will be interesting, they have quick wingers and very good central midfielders. I saw the game against Tottenham and they were very good.

"It's a proper package - the best Watford team since I've come to England."

More from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the new contract for throw-in coach Thomas Gronnemark:

"I thought a lot about why things didn't work around throw-ins but I had no clear plan of how to improve it and it's always good to have specialist about. It's all about the small things and he helps us with that.

"He's a very focused man. If you talk to a throw-in coach after a game, he only talks about the throw-in situations - and you think the ball was in the game as well right?

"It was a really good situation and I'm really pleased we are doing it for another half of the season."

                              'Dom will be fine'

Next up for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a question about Dominic Solanke, who has been in eye-catching form for England Under-21s:

“We will see [about his future].

“Nobody should worry about the future of English football. This could be the world's best under-21 team ever when you think about who could play for the first-team, like Trent [Alexander-Arnold], [Ben] Chilwell, [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek and [Marcus] Rashford.

“It’s a bit difficult [Solanke’s] situation here, but if Dom continues like he did so far then he will be fine.

“But there’s nothing to say about short or long-term things. He is our player. If I have to decide it will stay like that. I can imagine we will talk about this with the players first, I can imagine they don't want to watch boring press conferences [to know what's going to happen]."

'I will put 11 defenders on the pitch'

Liverpool will set a new club record for least goals conceded at this stage of the season with a clean sheet tomorrow. So what does manager Jurgen Klopp make of that...?

“I didn’t know that. Now I will put 11 defenders on the pitch to make sure we get that record," he jokes.

"The record was not our main focus. We play to win football games and it makes life easier if we don’t concede but it will be a proper challenge tomorrow.

“It’s no coincidence that Watford are seventh in the league. They got a proper knock against Bournemouth but all the other games they were very good.

“You don’t get a lot of shots against them. You have to be ready for all the small things.”
