A gentleman's agreement to field weakened teams organised via news conference?

Since when did that ever happen?

I am bit miffed that we've got a difficult game though and the timing after our first league defeat is more than touch irritating.

Wolves are a good team, they've taken points off most of the best teams and we had to play really well to beat them.

If they play a full strength team then I fully expect to lose this. And losing two games in a row, albeit playing a weakened team is something I would really prefer to avoid.

All round thumbs down from me on this one.
was thinking the exact same thing myself, it feeds the ‘bottlers’ narrative regardless of the side we field.

Yeah the media would jump all over that

Couldn't care less about any narrative. I think too much is made of what the media says.

It's the inevitable disruption to the best run of form in the club's history that I'm more concerned with.

That said, this squad looks pretty mentally resilient, and you don't win trophies without that quality. So it's a good test of character if nothing else.

I think its got more to do with the first real title challenge in years rather than not interested in the cup, that said I think Kloop will most likely field a reasonably strong team at the very least

It might be a good chance of a trophy if we get through this round.

As sad as it is, I honestly personally dont care about the FA Cup or the Beer Cup, ask any Arsenal fan how much it means, or think back to Kennys last horrah with the Beer Cup, it really does not add up to a hill of beans. The monkey on our back is not the FA Cup or Trophies in general although you could make a case for the later, its the Lg.

Either way its win win, as long as we dont get any injuries I will be happy, I see Citaah put out quite a strong team against Rotherham and including this game just gone they have 8 games before the Champions Lg return, including Arsenal and Chelsea. Whereas we have 6 and you could say this FA cup tie is possibly the toughest.

If we can find a way to rest Virgil as he has literally played every game for so long now and perhaps Andy and Mo I would be very happy with that

Mignolet and Moreno confirmed to start, RB will be Camacho and not Hoever, despite the imminent loan to Sporting, and Curtis Jones also likely to start.

so our CB’s are likely to be VVD & Lovren I take it.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
