Midfield are workers, we need someone in there to get on the ball. City have so many technical players in there to dominate possession. Virgil has been immense. We need that link in the middle to link to front lads too. Milly has struggled massively.

Our passing has been poor, constantly giving the ball away and inviting pressure on ourselves. That goal was avoidable but it was coming.

That defence can be got at, particularly the left side.

I thought this was the kind of game Keita would thrive in but he hasn't gotten out of second gear, yet.

Tight game, huge chance and badly unlucky early in the half. Lovren off the back of saying we can go unbeaten AGAIN, trying his best to make himself the reason we can't. Basic stuff.

Midfield keep running back into trouble when they have the opportunity to move the ball forward quickly. Does my head in...

We need a ball carrier in the middle that our front three can run off. Game is recoverable

Aside from the chance from Mane and the off the line that followed we've created very little.

All the decision have gone City's way, Kompany was lucky not to see red, Fernandinho has had countless cynical fouls and we've had the most bookings. You could argue if Aguero had been booked for the dive they wouldn't have scored.

We need to play better though because at the moment it's looking like City have this wrapped up, we need to get the ball to the front three and get them working as they have been quiet for much of the game, I don't think that we have tested their weaknesses
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Getting robbed by bent officials as we knew would happen so probably wouldn't matter what team we'd have picked but this midfield has never worked in any big away game, it's bizarre he keeps picking it as if it's reliable. All good players and we get away with it at home and v **** but it has no dribbling ability or passing ability so we struggle to get out every time.

Really, I thought we probably had the better half, away at the champions. Very unlucky to be in this position.

It felt like we were fully in control and managed that well, a combination of Dejan and possibly Alisson cost us.

There are goals there for us if we are better on the ball. 15 mins and then maybe Naby or Shaq

Milner is not playing like the fresh legs I was hoping for. I was mistaken with my choice.

And Lovren. Gomez would have dived in to put Aguero off. Lovren just watched, admired and applauded.

Still 4 points clear of the cunts.

Awful challenge. Red card for a small team.

It’s because they are a bit over run.

With three staying up front we are getting over run in midfield. Similar to the first half in the CL last year, though we’ve been more in the game.

It’s hard to say if switching to 4231 would make a difference but had to be worth a try?
