Don't think we were set up right from the off and we were timid in the face of their effort, but there's more than a few out there who need to reflect.

Yeah Milly and Gini had poor games, at least Fab tried to get things going. Front 3 got nothing from the midfield which we ve been saying all season we need a link from mid to forwards...hence Shaq.

Fernandinho dominated that midfield, City were very aggressive, constant pressing Lovren and Trent. Lovren went to pieces as he does.

Better team won tonight.

I just felt in order to win titles you need to be brave. We weren't and our passing was **** again. It's all very slow and under the feet.

Most annoying was the ****ing replays when the ball is in play. Get to ****. I would happily watch with no replays during the ****ing game. Cunts.

Fabiano should have started. Henderson was back to his best crab football. Always backwards. Loads of effort though but it doesn't work with Milner.

****ing gutted. Just didn't play well enough. City were better than us. Lots better. But for a pen miss it would have been two victories.

They are better than us, but fortunately that doesn't mean we can't take them to the wire or better, we only have to be better than everyone else, which we probably are.

We are still four points ahead and yet “the champions have the momentum” according to the Guardian. They barely beat us, it wasn’t a master class performance, and their last few results have been absolute dog. So irritating.

Henderson is awful, passes backwards then points to pass the ball forward every time. Fabinho should be a starter from now on. Don’t think lovern done a lot wrong to be fair to him. City had a better game plan and they have some top shelf quality, still think they can beat anyone on their day. Key is now how we respond to this. Top of the league by four points. We’ve just played away at the champions, matched them, and lost a game on the finest of margins. Yes, Lovren was part of that, but there’s no point scapegoating our fourth choice centre half. If Mane had been as clinical as Sane we’d gave got at least a point, but there’s no point scapegoating him either.

Tough to take, Mane hitting the post, the ball not crossing the line and Salah not getting a touch on the clearance was massive.

Lovren single handily lost us the game, make no mistake about it, he was **** in every sense tonight. Losing headers to Aguero was just passed by because of how bad he was, absolute disaster of a player.

I always seem to be abke to find some comfort in how **** raheem sterling is. Got nothing out of Robbo apart from a couple of chances to dive and then blasted Dejan's assist wide from 7 yards. Frightened that they'd be even better if they weren't carrying him.

Fabinho totally transformed the way we played. It's a shame Keita hasn't kicked on yet, because he has the qualities to be such a link, and also, to be an explosive player.

Everything went their way, they got every bounce of the ball, every slice of luck and every refereeing decision.

The were the better side but small thing make the difference in games like this. But it also felt like they wanted it more.

Pissed off with the refereeing, I'm not saying he was biased but he was influenced by the crowd or city players, and the fact that he comes from Manchester makes it easy to make accusations, FA should never have let him be in charge of this game.

2 centimetres more in our favour - the goal line clearance and Sane's shot under Trent's feet. Agree on the ref.
