Fair enough, I was pissed when watching it tbh.

Our midfield got schooled though and it was frustrating considering the calibre of midfielder we brought in in the summer.

      Yeah it's boring being unbeaten

Nothing was happening in the game vs Chelsea as they had rested some players due to other priorities and had no interest in making a game of it. It would have fizzled out to a mundane 0-0 if it wasn't for you-know-what.

Vs Palace we were forced to keep pushing despite being 3 up, due to the GD disadvantage.

Totally different scenario to having a 'free hit' to put our (at that point) only rival into a 10 point hole with half the season to go.

After the Chelsea game on came here and called Rodgers naive and got pelters for it. Klopp is much more astute

the whole season. there was just as much focus on that by the media as winning the league. we can still win the league having lost games.

Looks like it had already affected Lovren. Need to just focus on winning one game at a time.

That milestone was pulling focus from the 'one game at a time' philosophy. It was never a target and like I said yesterday, I'd rather lose the mantle to City as it was no disgrace to lose yesterday's game. I'll only start to worry if we lose to Brighton. Klopp's got a week to get the team refocused

However I think by now, they should have both been integrated into the team. Fabinho definitely deserves to be a starter. Keita, ok, probably not yet, but it should be our aim to get him in the team in the 2nd half of the season.

As others have said that midfield was too one-paced and workmanlike. They're midfield made ours look old-fashioned and out-dated.
We tried to completely re-vamp that midfield in Fab, Keita and Fekir. Klopp had identified that as our next area of concern, And I am sure he would have preferred to not play last seasons midfielders in the next game. I still think he should have started Fab, but a couple of those ropey balls in the first half similar to Arsenal and we could have been 1-nil down in no time!!

At the start of the season we would have all jumped at the position of being 4 points clear at this stage

We played a **** game and lost, so ****ing what. Not the first time we've lost this season, probably won't be the last, carry on the way we are and we'll be fine.

First defeat of the season in Jan at easily the hardest game. Amazing season so far. Don’t buy into all the media ****e about the potential of us bottling it.

We weren't ****, they happened to take their chances. We could have won that game by two goals if luck had been on our side.

I can live with being beaten last night, it was a blood and thunder type game and with a bit of luck, we'd have come away with a draw or even a win. As it is, we didn't get the rub of the green, ref bottled a couple of reds and we hit the post, they didn't.
What grinds my gears more than any of that... is Citeh supporters at work today mouthing off saying they were "...far superior all over the park, bossed it and it would have been a walkover had Sterling scored that sitter, Aguero slotted past Alisson and Sterling should have had a pen when Robertson pulled him down in the box"... Even when mentioning the goal line technology and Kompany's foul on Salah, it's "...well VVD wasn't sent off against Napoli for worse, so no way that was a red for Kompany".
...oh, for a Wolves win in a week... Scumbag cunts.

                            We're ****ing immense.

That loss last night and the circumstances around it can happen to the best of teams. Even Barca at their best would not always win away at the Bernabeu due to the sheer nature of the game.

Man City gave it everything while I think we were caught a bit cold but still stood up well. It reminded me of the CL nights we had at Anfield where we would beat a side just on pure determination but we all knew that it was the crowd and atmosphere carrying us and the other team was better over the season.

I think we are better than City. I really believe that. I don't think our players needed to run 14km each. It's asking for an early burnout. Will be interesting to see how Man City continue but I would be surprised if they don't feel the effects of that (especially Fernandinho, Aguero, Silva).

Still along way to go and with Gomez/Matip to come back in, Keita still to be unleashed, Fabinho getting to grips with his role... things are looking good. Heck we might even have a cameo from the Ox

                                I don't disagree.

City threw the kitchen sink at us and were fired up beyond anything I've seen from them before. A bit like PSG away earlier in the season.

The mental strength of our squad until now has been the most impressive part of our season so far. We'll see whether it continues, but right now I reckon we're still in pretty good shape.

Just a shame that it's a cup game next. I'd have preferred the momentum of playing Brighton next and unleashing the wrath on them.
                                Oh I don't know.
