I see little point in our second string trying to play the same way the first team does. All this slow knocking about at the back works because we normally have pass upfront. Now we have no pace. Zero. Why don't we have backup forwards with pace to come in?

Surely you try to get them all playing the same system so when they get their chance they slot right in.

I get that. But our way of playing only works with the pace upfront. Take that out and our first team would struggle. So like tonight you have to have a slightly different approach or you just lose.
