Trent has been available so many times, yet we've just turned and played it down the left. Odd decision to leave him on unless Matip and Milner only have less than 45 in them. Surely these games are tailor made for Naby.

The problem is Hendo and Wijnaldum just completely nullify our midfield's ability to counter fast or move the ball quickly. I've lost count of the amount of times Henderson passed the ball sideways or backwards when there was a better option forward. The lads a snail.

Fair play to Brighton though as they have kept their shape, however we haven't put them under any pressure to test them and its like a training match.

Exactly. Needs a shake up. We haven't got the ball in and around Salah. Clearly the tactic was the ball over the top, like it was vs united but Brighton are too well organised for that.

Run at them from wide and it'll be a different story IMO.

Started well enough but fizzled out a bit. Midfield balance not quite right against bus parkers with Gini and hendo in there...can still win this second half though. Keita might be the answer.

You'd never have thought Henderson was Gerrards understudy as playing with Gerrard he should have at least picked up what he needs to be doing as a midfielder..

I'd like to see someone run at the defense straight down the middle, if we can turn static players we can play to our strengths. Like others have said too ponderous in the middle. Feels like we are playing within ourselves and waiting for them to make a mistake

Hendo and Gini are both doing fine individually, it’s just that combined they don’t offer us anywhere near enough creativity.

Wonder could we get Matip on and fab in middle beside Gini. Miss him in midfield.

This is pretty similar to the game v them at Anfield.
