Yet Salah is a diver for doing the same thing.

    Double standards.
If he'd gone down with the contact then someone may have defended him, but it was noticeably after it.

Yes was definitely a dive from Salah.

If they want to highlight Salah, then the exact same should be done for any player that does so and those that do it game in game out should be getting a hell of a lot of attention.
            Spot on.

Enjoyed these kind of games under Rodgers and early Klopp. Now hate them. Would much rather a tight, disciplined 1-0 win than a nervy, sloppy 4-3.

I think Salah went down due to the arm over his neck/shoulder rather than the contact on his leg.

I think because he's not moving at the time makes it look soft.

Out of interest (and I really don't mean to single you out ), if there's contact but not enough for him to go down (eg in the box), do you think he should stay on his feet?

Generally speaking, yes. But I understand that that isn't very realistic at the margins, where difficult for an observer to tell. But maybe if I put it this way, I think it's more acceptable (to the integrity of the sport) that little tugs etc form part of the 'art of defending' than it is that people go to ground unecessarily to deceive or sometimes persuade the referee. Now those tugs etc should be spotted and given by the ref and result in 'soft' fouls and pens but I also think the game would be a bit crap if there were multiple pens per game for such things.

Furry muff It's a bit of a grey area. If a player is caught in the box e.g. a kick from behind, and stays on his feet, he's applauded by pundits. However, I'd imagine the player's manager, and team mates, would tell him, in private, that he should have gone down. It doesn't seem that long ago that Salah was being praised for staying on his feet whenever he was 'fouled'.

I like to think anything with more force than Lovrens finger in the back penalty we suffered a while back is automatically a penalty.

Do you think he gave him a 100 lines to do as well?
