'Title race is getting exciting' - Klopp

“It is getting exciting now. I don’t think anyone thought we would be top of the league 12 points (clear)," Jurgen Klopp said, when asked about how he is feeling about the title race.

"Only chance to improve our position is by winning games.

Klopp on facing Bournemouth after playing in midweek:

“Last break helped us in some parts. We will deal with it. I know we will be ready with each fibre of our bodies."

Injury news: Alexander-Arnold back training;Lovren out; Wijnaldum fit

Jurgen Klopp says centre-back Joe Gomez's surgery on his broken leg went "really well" adding he is now "four to six" weeks before he can return to play.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson have both returned to training and came through without any issues.

Gigi Wijnaldum also trained as normal while Dejan Lovren is not fit.

          Oxlade-Chamberlain recovery on track

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed injured midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was added the Liverpool's Champions League squad list this week, should be fit if the Reds reach the semi-final stage of the competition.

The German is now waiting for the "green light" from medical staff to introduce the England international back into training sessions.

Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered knee ligament damage in April 2018.

Godmez being back for the CL quarters and last 8 or so league games would be really good.

A fully fit Gomez back for 8 league games would be massive.

Not impressed with Lovern still being out though. Matip is very prone to picking up a knock or illness so leaves us very light on the ground in terms of partners for VVD.

Matip to stay fit until the end of the season, and Gomez back for the final 8 league games would be a godsend.

what is it with lovren and matip - pair of them take it in turns to miss go missing for 4 or 5 games

with Gomez looking he might be made of glass also, then we defo need another reliable centre back in

Although I'm more bothered about the league the Bayern first leg doesn't really bear thinking about if Degsy doesn't recover and Matip gets one of his knocks. **** knows what we'd even do, Fabinho and Robbo maybe with Albie at left back.

Screw that, go three at the back..... Trent, Fabinho and Robertson.

Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri playing in a diamond in the centre and the three amigos up front.

Aim to keep it to 0-0, stop them scoring an away goal

                      Can you play 2 goalies?

Edit. Actually I think Alisson on his own is better than having Mig loitering on one post

Said the same in the Gomez thread after reading that article. Definitely need to address the fragility of the centre back cover next year.

Klopp said no guarantees Trent is going to play tomorrow as he's been out for 3 1/2 weeks.
                          Are we winning?

So it’d be between Milner, Fabinho Camacho & Hendo if he is out I’d imagine?

Fabinho must play the holding role in midfield imo so that’d leave the other three
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
