The extra space could be allowing more support from the midfield and Bobby/Mane but it's not evident for large swathes of that half.

These are by no means a great side, despite the pregame platitudes, and while I understand the 'smartness' in managing an away win even on away goals, I've been very disappointed with how we've approached both games so far.

He seems unable to strike a ball cleanly any more. It's stuck under his feet a lot. Not tonight, he's had nothing but aimless long balls to work on. If this was a Big Sam team we would slate him. Just saying. Way Too many long balls.

If I'm honest, I'm not overly concerned with his lack of goals of late, as his very presence is of concern to opposing sides, even the other day his involvement was crucial on the goals.
Just on an individual level, he's appears withdrawn into himself (he was completely opposite of that against Watford the other week and looked much happier), and a lot of his play breaks down etc.
I don't normally agree with the 'he needs a rest', but it's be nice if we had top quality to rotate in.
