Nope, start of last season he played every minute of our first 17 matches in all competitions.

Think he currently on 10 full games in a row.

Loving the added aggression from him too.

Ah right, so he's not overly injury prone then, once he gets going...wonder if he will remain as first choice once Joe and Lovren are back up to full speed. I hope he does, cos he's proving a good foil for VVD at the moment, and they seem to have a good understanding.

The injury prone quotes are little distorted. Breaking a collar bone for example isnt being injury prone. Matip and VVD play well together and both like to bring the ball out of defence, for me they are a good combination and Matip is where he should be, ahead of Lovren

What a win that was , Lewandoski didnt get a chance over two legs

What a defence we have now , don't even feel worried watching thru fingers anymore

          Get in there !

Had to work this morning so I missed the match & avoided any news on the score etc. Just watched the full replay & im surprised with how well we played away from home against a big club like Bayern. The 2nd half in particular we ran them ragged. They really exposed both of our fullbacks & gave them a torrid time at times but the 2 CB’s covered them well . Lewandowski who? He provided no threat at all except trying to con the referee any time someone went near him. Ribery was the most dangerous player for them soo was pleased to see his aging legs couldn’t go the distance.

Here’s hoping for Porto next round with City vs Barca , Ajax to destroy United so Danny Blind can have the last laugh & Juventus v Spurs.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

They tried to go through the middle at times but Fabinho is amazing at breaking up play. They most likely would have had more joy if Hendo stayed on as it’s not really his gift compared to Fab.

I see Bayern were back to thumping teams 6 - 0 yesterday. Just shows what a great result it was
