I don't think that any of the Man Utd fans who want City to win are real fans, you should always want what's best for your own club first. If they lose tonight they will struggle to make the CL which results in a loss of revenue and results in them finding it more difficult to bring in top players. If they don't want to win in those circumstances then they should bother being a fan.
I would say 100% some fans would want us to lose alright, tribal nature goes across all fan bases imo.
I would say in 94/95 season, when Blackburn and United went to the last day and we played Blackburn... there were some of our fans that wanted us to lose so United didn't win the title. It's pathetic really and small time.
Pathetic?
We'd already qualified for UEFA Cup, match meant nothing to us, Kenny was in charge of Blackburn. I certainly wanted Blackburn to win.
This is hardly the same.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
To be fair, small time is a phrase used loads on here, and elsewhere in football. You must be the only person who's not heard it before
It's such a **** phrase that 99 times out of 100 makes no sense. I've always hated it.
What does it mean that I was 'small time' because I was cheering Blackburn (well not cheering, preferred them to win) in a meaningless match for us for reasons already stated?

I wanted them too, **** Utd winning anything. Ever*
There's nothing wrong with disliking someone or not wanting someone to win anything it's part of the rivalry. But if you hatred for the other club is stronger than the love for your own club or you prioritize their results over your own then you are doing something wrong.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
