Feels like this game has flown under the radar for us with all the focus on the PL/City for the last few weeks. This is one of our biggest games in years, CL semi final away to Barcelona.
We are lucky that VVD and Robertson are both left sided so our strongest defenders will be up against their best attackers. I think that TAA vs Dembele could be the most important duel of the game.
Can't wait to watch this as a spectacle, let alone as an LFC fan. I think a small loss with an away goal would not be a bad result at all but hoping for more with out counter attacking style vs the possession focus.96 Never Forgotten

The away goal is essential. They play very similar style to City, lots of ball retention and then hunt to get it back... same as us I suppose but maybe a little more comfortable on the ball. They are not the same team though, fair enough their attack is sensational but the midfield and the defence can be got at no question. Their fullbacks are used to having free reign going forward but they will be terrified to do that against Mane and Mo. Having Bobby fit is pretty huge but if he's out then we'll will have to hope Derek puts a shift in.
It's such a huge game that nobody has really thought about, I think in itself shows you what us the fans, are really prioritising this season. Their league is wrapped so they have the luxury of resting every single player now in between the tie which is a huge advantage. We'll rotate a few ourselves I would say.
Looking forward to the game, simply put even though they have Suarez, Phil & Dembele... stop the ball getting to Messi and we'll win. Second leg in Anfield sounds great but the danger of that away goal is huge. We have to come away with good result in Camp Nou. IMO Busquets should be targeted in both games, linch pin for them but he is slow and capable of getting a red card in every game.Last edited by danperkins; 29-04-19, 06:29 AM.

He is even more cynical than Fernandinho but unfortunately seems to live in the same blind spot as him when it comes to getting booked!Originally posted by danperkins View PostThe away goal is essential.
