Vueling added loads of planes to Madrid on Wednesday £700 return. Everyone had already booked so now down to £420 return. I was quite pleased paying 550 yesterday

Just got the itinerary from Thomas Cook.. check-in starts at 1.50am Saturday morning, arrive at 7am, fly back 1.40am the Sunday. That's all good except i'm going on my own, have no plans to meet anyone and I don't drink anymore It's gonna be a long/strange old day

You’ll have an absolute blast - I did that in 2006 when Munster won their first European Cup. Day trip on my own but I was drinking then

The atmosphere will be superb around the town + you’ll meet people on the flight etc.

usually all the corporate/neutral tickets get snapped up by us, seems to be nothing doing this year

Not sure if a dig at me, as mine was the post above, did 3 homes and 3 aways in the CL despite living in the US, managed more aways in the Prem than homes this year. The lads who buy my season ticket when I can't go are obv gutted but understand, they get my ticket at face value every week I can't attend but I stand the cost if they can't go either.

I did similar trip in the Rugby WC in NZ a few yrs back – flew over from Sydney - drank all day – went to game – drank all night - checked in for flight at 6am with a kebab – no baggage !

Did it again for LIONS tour last yr planning the same for Tokyo for RWC too.. would do the same for Madrid if I had a damn ticket ... hotels are expensive and a waste of beer tokens

A CEO i know just told me he has a dilemma, he doesn't know which offer to accept for the game. Both the owner of Madrid and Spurs has invited him, he has no interest in either teams, just going to get thrashed.

Yeah, I’ve heard some of this through work. Corporate tickets going to people who can’t even stand football.
