This is the best LFC team I've seen. It's better than the Barnes, Beardsley and Aldridge side of 87 imo. Can't overstate how good this team is. Cherishing every minute of it.
    Thanks very much for being

I remember that side and maybe it’s nostalgia that refuses for me to accept that....the big thing is titles. A couple of leagues and then it’s irrefutable

That side never won any European trophies. :P

Hard to accept innit. I've felt the same and wrestled with it in my mind. Just think the level has gone up so much since then and that team had nothing like the City team we have to compete against. I get the titles thing, but I do think this is the best and most complete side we've had since then and including that team.
          Thanks very much for being

It's just nuts to think that this team go more points than any of the Man Utd or Chelsea sides that dominated the 90's and 00's and did better than the Arsenal invincibles side, highest points total in LFC history but still didn't win the title
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

They might well be enjoying a new manager bounce at this rate.
              Oh I don't know.

Watching MOTD2 and I shudder at the thought that Benteke was our player just a few years ago. :shudder:

We've come a heck of a long way.

                  I’m watching that as well.

He is awful. He will always be Big **** Chris to me. Remember the early games with Klopp going bananas at him as he never ever moved.

Fair enough, I can live with only beating them by 3

The analogy I'd use is, some people don't think Messi is the greatest ever footballer cos he hasn't won the world cup.

There are caveats and mitigation when comparing across eras.

as I said, it’s probably nostalgia. I would have said John Barnes was the best wide player I remember but Mo is outscoring him with ease. Similar to other players in this side - the mad thing is I don’t think this team has peaked yet, I’m just enjoying it.

Remember Klopp said “from doubters to believers” - by **** was he right

Yeah I know. Wasn't trying to make light of that.

But keeping the two things apart, we could have said we would have won lots of European trophies with that team had the sad events not happened but we didn't.

Just like now we're saying we could and should have won the league by a record number of points but for corruption, but we haven't.
