    Their fixtures are -

    Norwich (A)
    Shakhtar (A)
    Watford (H)
    Preston NE (A)
    Everton (A)

I fancy Shakhtar and Everton to take something from those games. Otamendi is ****e.
Hard to have much optimism of them dropping any Premier League points with that fixture list to be honest.

    They'll score 4+ against Norwich
Watford will be a walkover too.
    And that leaves, erm, Everton

After that they have Wolves at home, and Palace away. Every so slightly more hope of a slip up with one of those.

We really will have to hold our nerve and keep racking up the wins if we want to stay ahead.

You never know when either of us will get a random bad result (has to happen some time!) but most likely we'll have to win 20 in a row just to stay ahead of them! Insane times.

Zero relevance but carry on, it's good fun to read.

                Moving along.

It appears Laporte may not play this year. I don't think that affects them in the short term looking at their fixtures but could bite them at some point. Stones and Otamendi wouldn't fill me with confidence i have to say.

I never like to see any player get injured... unless he plays for one of our rivals... or united..

This is great news.. hopefully will have a similar impact to when Fernandinho was injured last year, with them slipping up in games that are very winnable on paper!
                  I don't tip

Ironic that it was one the infamous, cynical fouls that City employ which injured Laporte. Talking of cynical fouls, the absence of Fernandinho this season has meant City have looked more open. Rodri has been good but doesn't appear to have fully mastered the dark arts which Fernandinho perfected and allowed him 100 fouls per booking.

Although they have won convincingly all games bar Spurs, they did cough up big chances in every game. Ironically it was the Spurs game where they appeared to concede less big chances.

Without Fernandinho in the holding role and their best defender in Laporte missing, teams should be able to get at City more, especially through set pieces. Kompany leaving is another huge plus, it was his presence, last season, in the last set of games IMO that kept the balance in City's favour and meant we agonisingly missed out.

                            What’s the story with Laporte?

He’s had surgery - but how long is he out for?

Supposedly 4/5 months - him and Sane out for a long period of time should surely catch up with them....

Definitely. You’d imagine they are going to be stretched once the CL games kick in.

An injury to Aguero next please.

It’s not sporting, but we need any help we can get after last season.
