I can only assume they think because of our position in the table we are more likely to play for a draw, whereas they will be desperate for a win.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

There is examples of them working badly and working well. I just think it releases a bit of pressure on a manager if they try it. This week the questions are about Klopp and tactical fouls, rather than if City lose they could be out of the title race.
Suggesting the stuff about Mane was clearly done to influence the ref too. Man Utd did this **** all the time in the past. It works, if it didnt, people wouldnt bother doing it.
It might not work on me or you, or even Klopp. But it works in other ways.*Except Michael, who died.

I find it completely tedious, and the media obsession with it massively irritating.Originally posted by Alex View PostThere is examples of them working badly and working well. It was always a weird thing when Fergie did it, he was lauded for his ability to win the mind games but from a non-football point of view they were pretty amateur attempts but were deemed successful as the team was mostly superior in those days.
Even his so called victory against Rafa and his "rant" was only really because of a lucky hit and hope from Macheda and the weird 4-4 we had against Arsenal. If just one of those happened slightly differently then no one would remember that particular "battle".

I suspect that if City were to win a champions league, then Pep might head off to somewhere like Juventus and try to win one for them too. Or even PSG.
I think he is a brilliant manager. And if he was in charge of LFC, I'd love him too. He doesn't have the personality of Klopp - but like Jurgen, his teams play brilliant football - at very high intensity.
You can talk about the money that he has had available but in reality I think he has made players like Sterling, Aguero, Silva all better. If you want to look at who has had money and ****in wasted it then have a look at Old Trafford over the last 5 years
I appreciate the football that Man City play. I think their fans are by-in-large a shower of arseholes - and some of their players like Walker are too - but some of their football is awesome.
And I love how he saw someone like Joe Hart as a knobhead and bombed him out.

Haha is this coming from someone in the City camp???Originally posted by dom9 View PostWe apparently rotate fouling so to avoid too many cards.

They are the biggest tactical foulers in the leagueBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
