For clarity, it's nine on city. Eight on Leicester and Chelsea.

we just need to follow that game up with a win. The first game after an international break is always trick. Especially if it is away from home.

Palace away won't be easy. They will have had 2 weeks with the majority of their team and Roy Hodgson will have them well drilled and defensively organised. We will have jet-lagged players.

If we were to lose points, then the media will be out with loads of the "ohh they can't handle real pressure of being favourites" type headlines.

But if we win, then it sends Man City a nice message before they play Chelsea.

The media can & will say what they like & if we are to be called Champions we need to get used to it & let it wash off our backs. I’m sure Jurgen will keep the players grounded through it all.

A win against Palace is a must when City face Chelsea after... puts the pressure on the chasing teams. Would love to see City, Chelsea and Leicester all drop points against each other...

Just noticed the Goal Difference between us and City is only 4 now.

When you consider that they had Watford down tools against them for 8 thats not too bad.
              Modifying post.

...and Leicester smashing Southampton for 9 will keep the pressure up on them...

In a way it’s bigger than that though, cos if it comes down to goal difference, in the games we drop points, they would gain at least 5 more goals over us... but let’s hope it doesn’t come to goal difference [emoji123][emoji123]

Depends on how many thumpings we dish out this season.

Goal difference won't come in to it this season

Anyone else concerned by Leicester? Don't like the fact Rodgers got close before and they have no other distractions.

Leicester have a quiet schedule, plus a few of their squad have experienced winning the league before, as has Rodgers a number of times

A massive thing against them is that Rodgers knows failure in this league in a tight race, and they only got something like 78pts which will be well well short this season.

They'll be 3rd or 4th, with a fairly big gap below them

We also had the same points total after 12games as we did now, source, motd.

                                Was a rotten period.
