No excuses this season , the Dippers have achieved the better results , but certainly not the better performances , they have scraped one goal victories in the majority of their games , the goal difference explains that. To say we are miles behind them is just kneejerk bull**** , if we played them tomorrow with both full squads available on a neutral ground , and officials who gave the correct decisions , it would be a tight game but we would definitely win

There recent victories over us have been assisted by poor referee decisions , and to sweep this under the carpet and state we are miles behind them , is rather foolish. True. So much fawning about a team that has been blatantly helped by officials and the PL in a season that is as rigged as it gets.

The PL have shown in a completely shameless manner that they support Liverpool this season, you need only to think about the Christmas fixture list: it makes no sense whatsoever. Even Klopp has admitted it.

They have a great team capable of winning the league without help from officials and the PL, but the fear that City might make it 3 in a row has been so big that they have blatantly being helped and City have been hampered.

They’ve won the League barely dropping a point for the last 2 seasons FFS. They’ve played some amazing football blowing teams off the pitch at times. But now (so far, this season)we are better than them.

You could understand such bitterness in Everton supporters. But in this lot...??? It’s baffling. You get one post in about 50 that acknowledges we might be quite good, but that quickly gets shouted down.

We have the best defence. Best goal difference most wins. The only thing City lead in is goals scored and that’s helped by a game where Watford lay down for them (Conspiracy????).

The fixtures for this weekend really help us and we may even extend our lead. City have less than 2 days rest before playing Blades, as do our opponents, Wolves. Wouldn’t be surprised if Wolves rest a bunch for our game. They’ve got to be thinking City at home is more likely to yield them points than a trip to Anfield.

Previously we have seen teams play weakened lineups when playing city and putting out strong teams against us as they thought they had a chance against us, wonder will we see the reverse in the second half of the season.

I doubt it. We are the one scalp all teams will want. What with us being European and World Champions, and not wanting to jinx it too much but Champions elect.

But it would be nice if teams did decide to roll over for us on occasion - but we are Liverpool and teams want to beat us due to our history.

Wouldn't disagree but if you're fighting relegation got Liverpool on a Sunday and a relegation rival the following Saturday you might be tempted to rest some of the more important players to have them fresh for relegation battle.
