I think they will play them behind closed doors..... and it should be something radical like 2 games a day for about 4 weeks. People will be bored off their tits. It will probably be record viewing figures for TV - let alone sport - in the history of the UK.
With no fans, then they can play the games anywhere. Could be a training pitch next to a hotel or something.....
Yes the players should be tested beforehand.......but unless more than 5 players from each team tests positive, then they should just play the game. In reality, the results don't really matter now* - this is bigger.
* as long as we win 2 of the 9 remaining games obviously....
I like the idea of making it an 18 game season. No home matches. No away matches. Every game being in a neutral ground.
When 2 teams play, whichever team finished higher in 19/20 gets to play at home, haha!
In all seriousness, I think they should aim to play the 38 games if possible- they should look at consolidating the 2 cups, as a first option, if needed. Or have the teams in Europe, not compete in the cups and have cup games same time as European games...
I reckon this season will finish next year. Cleanest solution for me.
The summer is just going to be peak capacity right through. No way they are then going to jump into a new season of football once it begins to tail off. Not to mention needing a good preseason to teach players how to play again.

God knows we could all do with though.
big time. A friend of mine sent me a link to some marble racing last night...... 90 minutes later i'm still watching videos of it
I would look at when this covid-19 stuff is finished and when this season can be completed, and up to the season of the 2022 world cup both of which mess up the football calender (as does Euro 2021). But I would use the period between now and the end of that season as an interim calender period where World football is away from it's normal routine, try to fit and space seasons as appropriate with sensible gaps between them (this may mean missing a season and moving stuff around) with the aim of getting back to normal after that.
Maybe the various associations could have a word with one another and try to sort things into a more cohesive world calender beyond that, but that is probably asking too much...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
