I see a drop off from Spurs, momentum has hit the rails. I think there's a few there that appear to be considering moving somewhere else.

Can't see Utd finishing above Arsenal either and Wolves are better than Everton

I still think we're gambling with our full-backs..injuries to Trent or Robbo and the drop down is huge, at least in terms of their contribution to our attacking. Larouci, Joe Gomez, Millie...OK for a game or two but not 2-3 months.

City got by playing Delph LB and I'm not totally sold on Zinchenko either.

Against stronger teams Gomez will probably get picked ahead of Trent anyway, so I'm not worried about him filling in. Against teams who will sit back, I'd like to see Hoever in. Hoever also looks skilful enough to fill in at LB and still be an attacking threat. We also have Fabinho for RB who plays there for Brazil.

Again, against lesser teams I think we could cope with Larouci or Lewis LB and a more solid option like Gomez or Milner against better opposition.

On their day, Trent and Robbo are two of the best FB's in Europe so any team would miss them if they were injured for a few months. We won't be as strong without them, but I think we have enough options in the squad to cope for a while without them.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Didn’t Milner play a whole season at left back, and look really good? Gomez looked pretty good at RB second half. I think we’ll be fine.

Millie isn't getting any younger and I'm not sure he's quick enough. Zaha gave him a tough time last season and any quick winger will do the same. Larouci and Hoever are young and untested. Gomez is reliable at full back (although his positioning is a bit off at times), but he can't cross a ball like Trent (nobody can). We'll see.

Gomez is **** at fullback. Cant cross. Awful going forward. He will pick up more injuries at fullback.

I think Spurs will be better (more consistent) this year Arsenal are interesting - good in attack but weak in defence. Utd are unknown - they could be challenging for third or looking for a new manager by Christmas (I expect the latter to happen).

agree on Spurs, they are better equipped this season, good manager & squad filled with quality. They have also had a taste of what it is like to be in a European final.

Arsenal have a quality attack and will cause any team problems but their CM and defence is ****e. Interesting to see if they get a CB and Tierney who I think would be a good signing for them. Chelsea, Arsenal & United to battle for 4th spot imo. I think Leicester could potentially have a good season if they get a solid replacement for Maguire.

IMO biggest drop off in quality is if VvD, Mane or Salah are injured. Positions we could improve (IMO ) - two of the current first choice midfielders.

Hope Leicester do well. I expect them to score lots of goals and concede lots of goals

Milner was just one example. Ox played LWB for Arsenal just before we signed him and was one of their best players at the time. One key attribute all our recent signings have had is they are all intelligent, versatile players. Klopp could have someone in mind for the role that us fans would never think of (as he did with Milner, as he did with Gini DM or even Lallana now). We don't always have to replace like for like, it may require a slight change in tactics, but that's nothing new for the squad.

Hopefully we'll not have to find out and both FB's will be relatively injury free all season. It's worth remembering though, nobody would have expected them to make the impact they did when they first broke through and they only got their opportunities when they did because of injuries to the first team.
