I think we'd all take that.

I think we will win it, we were one of the youngest squads last year and almost changed the whole squad within 3 years. That's a huge amount of change within a short period and logically, we can only progress of an extra year of maturity and stability.
Further, I feel with the introduction of VAR will benefit us as we will receive more decisions go our way. The amount of penalties we get in relation to the amount of time we spend in the opposition bench has been a joke, especially in comparison to teams such as Palace and Everton.

Gotze's Dortmund to Bayern move was worse. Announced a week before the CL final against Bayern.Originally posted by greenturnip View PostI think you only say no to Klopp once. Coutinho is dead to him. And rightly so.
Klopp tried to buy him again but he chose Dortmund and we went for Mane.

There is an element of untruth in thisOriginally posted by RedReet View PostHaha I know, my being stupid just looking at transfer stats (https://www.lfchistory.net/Transfers/BySeason/18) without thinking.
The point was though, he didn't buy success.
Dalglish was a British transfer record
Souness was 75% of the British transfer record
Paisley spent big at times but it was always just to freshen up the squadBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Theres a few things here imo
Coutinho's cost and wages, I think at the moment they would be very prohibitive for LFC. I wonder if his value decreases further if we will move for him
Secondly as you mentioned the manner in which he left was a problem for KloppLast edited by Lecter; 09-08-19, 10:22 AM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I'm a bit worried that we're not making the best of this position, but for all we know, Klopp and Edwards are preparing a huge bid for Sancho next summer, we've been smart so far, I think it will continue for sure. Big gamble but might pay off for the long run.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Yup, as i've said a few times over the window we've no idea what's going on so we can't get too worked up about it. The squad isn't too bad as last season proved and we've saved a window which means we should have money in the bank for future windows should better value occur.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostI'm a bit worried that we're not making the best of this position, but for all we know, Klopp and Edwards are preparing a huge bid for Sancho next summer, we've been smart so far, I think it will continue for sure. The squad is stronger this season, The back four are now a settled unit with a year of playing together behind them, Fabhino is up to speed, he took time but now looks solid, with him as DM Hendo is showing more moving forward, Wijnaldum is a class act, Keita will benefit from a years premier experience and I expect him to show his worth, The Ox needs fitness but once that's assured he's another class act, Milner Lallana & Shaqiri are all knocking on the door (Milner is just a magnificent workhorse what a player to have in the squad) The front line is just plain scary and a delight to watch, with Brewster and Origi backing up I believe we are better than last year so therefore we'll better last years results and win the bloody thing.
